Why can't you build some jumps in the park? Like surely you can muster up enough snow from around the hill? And why is top towers closed atm? Even if it's skiing hard, hard pack at least its challenging?

Your asking the same questions us locals ask every season lol. Definitely some sympathy this season though, towers is probably closed due to too little snow though. Hasn't exactly been a banger of a start to the season seems like they are barely hanging on to stay open via snow making right now.

I'm going down in two weeks do you know if they will be built by then?

Going up this weekend so if I see any crew I can ask for ya. Would say no at this stage, the earth worked knuckles are still pure rock. If they get a storm maybe...

It definitely looks like a couple chutes can be done tho mid towers is looking scarce, but with some careful route finding it would make a challenge, I dont mind a few nicks in my shit skis. Also why are they scattering all the park features all around the mountain so u can only hit 4 features per run?

So back from my ride. There is so little snow. There would be almost 0% chance in the big line being open in 2 weeks. Maybe they put a lip on a roller and make a small jump but. Dam they are battling to stay open right now, like barely holding on running the snow makers at capacity. Rough start to the season, tbh I'm usually hater but they are doing what they can up there in terms of park.

Literally this- Ive been teaching there the last 2 years. the park will definitly get going as soon as we get snow. which looks like this week.

As for top towers- Im sure if you ask patrol nicely they'd let you walk down. There is essentially no snow at the top after the north wester this weekend.

Yea was up there today, looking super skint compared to last week, I apologise. Looks like they might have to close in the next couple weeks.

Ruapehue has like close to no snow pretty much. The weather is rolling in but still

To think this time last year Turoa was pumping easy by now
