Anyone willing to ship me a hoody for some $?

that's because sporting life is a shop run by businessman catering to mega rich young families living at younge and eglinton who own more canada goose jackets than laptops, iphones and ipads combined, and enjoy shopping for gear far more than actually using it

how is that different from any worthwhile ski shop in the GTA?

Skiis & Biikes, Corbetts, Sign of the Skier, etc... are all owned by business people trying to cater to the mega rich. Sporting Life just does it better. That's why they have stores all over Canada.

they won't ship to non-Canadian residents because there's something called a "dealer agreement" that is in place to protect dealers/distributors in other countries. for the same reason a lot of american online retailers aren't allowed to ship certain brands to Canada. if retailers get caught violating dealer agreements, they run the risk of not only getting cut off from the distributor but more importantly, the distributor can demand payment of any outsanding balance on their account. this is becoming the norm as more and more people take to online shopping.
