Anyone use cctv lenses on m4/3?

Just curious if anyone uses c mount lenses for micro 4/3 cams? gh2 etc. Seems like a ridiculously cheap way to get wide lenses, and they're all really fast(like 20$ for an f/1.0 wide angle). I've heard about problems with some of them damaging(presumably the sensor? being too far back?) but I'm just curious if some people use them.

I believe you have to use the crop function so that cmount lenses don't vignette, rendering the wide lenses pretty useless.

Just not sure if those super wide lenses work, who knows. the optics of the 11-16 are far superior anyways...

Yeah fair enough, but they're huge amounts faster+they're so cheap it's unbelievable, I'll try have a look into it.

meh not really worth it imo. You can get old fd or nikon or pentax primes that are better for about the same price. And having to use the crop mode is a huge bummer. Quality in crop mode is definitely not as good.

In my experience the detail resolved seems to be slightly worse and ISO noise is much more pronounced. Also the image on the monitor is very low res until you hit record which makes it hard to get critical focus.

I don't know why this happens, it is just a flaw in the way the feature is implemented. The evf is equally as low-res prior to recording in ETC mode though.
