Anyone ski near halifax?

hey im going to skool out there n i was just wondering what the hills parks are like? i think the hills are martock and then something that starts with a W, but just like if they have a nice one n how big the jumps get, thanks
 
where are you going to school next year? I'm assuming Dal. I'm not really the right person to ask but I'm going to St. FX next year so I've been doing a little bit of research here. There's mainly Wentworth and Martock. I'm pretty sure Martock is closer to Halifax but Wentworth has a pretty fly park scene, however martock has been stepping up their game. Someone from out there would be able to answer your questions mad better.
 
whats good? yeah i've skied at martock my whole life and honestly its nothing to get excited about, though it isnt too far of a drive from halifax, like 30ish minutes. The jumps are small and theres never more then 2, the pipe has been lacking the last 2 years, and the rail section was weak until like 2 or 3 weeks left in the season. the snowboarding scene is much bigger then the freestyle ski scene but its getting better. However, martock is dirt cheap, the pass is like 120 before july and if you're coming from anywhere big, martock is small. Wentworth is like 1.5 hours from halifax but is dope, no pipe, better jumps, better set up of rails. Wentworth has way more terrain and the park is set up for skiers. There are a bunch of fun tree sections at wentworth and a crew of really good skiers. peace,
 
There is a pretty solid and fun scene in Halifax, there will be tons of early season and winter events to go to so you wont get bored and the people are kickass. Lookout for Snowepic posters early in the year at whatever school your going to and GO ON THAT TRIP. It will be one of the best weekends of your life.

Ive spent my whole life apart from the last season that ive been in the mountains about a 5-10 min drive away from Martock, so ive spent a shitload of time there. They keep promising to step it up in the park and everyone crosses their fingers, but nothing ever really gets much better. Wentworth has a lot better terrain, a solid scene and Duckys is a sick bar for apres.

Apart from that have a good time getting messy drunk in Hali, such a sick city. Youll have a rad time there for sure.
 
sounds cool, im going to st marys, n im despirtly hopin they have a ski club, n im not from anywhere big but i still hope i can make it out to wentworth a few times
