Moved to Southern California this fall and have been spending some time up at Bear and I'm quite curious if anyone on this site rides there, because at times I feel like the only skier in a very large radius. Place is absolutely slammed with boarders but rarely do I see skiers in the parks. Show yourselves Bear rats, I hope you're out there somewhere...

pretty for sure that Jordan Romero the 13 year old who summited mt everest skied their and lived their when he was a kid but i dont know if he still skis there

I went to Redlands for college and rode the fuck out of Bear while I was out there. Absolutely loved that place. It's best when enjoyed with friends. The flow of the mountain is rad. The features are mostly built with snowboarders in mind but it forces you do get confident at urban rails fast. Lots of boozing and smoking.

copious amounts of boozing and smoking. I would bet collectively more beers get crushed at Bear on a Saturday than individual rails hits. And there's like 100 rails in total at that place but everyone there is too hammered to hit anything haha

Hell yeah I miss it! The layout is so much fun to just find your groove in and ride however you want, who cares if you hit anything, everyone's drunk and probably on acid too lmao

Big bear is the best, nothing like shredding in 50-60 degree weather in January and hitting the sun deck for a marg after.

Well shit! Since making this thread I actually moved down to SC. If anyone surfs my spot is walking distance to 204s and trying to frequent trestles more often now as well. Hype train is steady incoming for the season

Nah nobody rides there, place sucks. Too sunny, Too many rails n jumps n shit all over the place.. place thinks it’s Tommy Hawk Pro Skater or something

Check Mt Baldy if you're looking for some more terrain in SoCal. Pretty dope hidden spot. If it get hammered pow days are unreal

I live in the South Bay in LA - used to ride bear every weekend but lately much less now a days. Every time I’ve gone the past 2 seasons the lift lines are unbearable. Summit has the system down a little better.

bears park is so much fun though; if you happen to hit it on a non crowded day
