Anyone ride at PowDerHorn ski area near grand junction?

hahahaha at :53 matt ate shit. looked like fun. today was amazing. some insane deep powder. i keep finding untouched in the trees. i think i saw matt up there....
 
headz up for all u kidz stuck in skool. ha. they just re-built all the jumps again, and they are all bigger!!!!

no new rails yet... I'd say each jump got at least 5 feet added on maybe more!! the 1st 2 got completely re-dun and areway better, and the 3rd ones take off is now bigger...
 
yeah you can. i mean come on, this is powderhorn!!thinkin bout makin an edit this weekend but it will prolly never happen.
 
haha sorry if that sounded mean. the jumps had some sweet flow to them but i had a terrible day. i jacked up my knee on a 5 on the second one then over shot the last one and sat down on my binding and im pretty sure it ripped my butt hole. i'd film for/with you.
 
nah man you're good i was just jokin bout the landing thing. but yeah the jumps got some good flow to em. i screwed up my thumb today on the second one too and had to go to ski patrol. the guy didnt want me to go back out skiing cause he didnt want me to hurt it more so he gave me some ice, put me in a sling, and deactivated my pass for the rest of the day. i dont think he understood that if im not tryin the trick i probably wont hurt myself anymore. he said i either sprained it real bad or i broke it slightly. it was a crap day but it was pretty funny.
 
dude ski patrol did the exact same thing when vince slammed into me and i barely even got a concussion (i was just fine except for not remembering what happened before the crash) ... ski patrols so anal about crap, they hot passed me to because they thought i would hurt myself even more...
i gotta back kenny up though his bindings butt raped him really badly on that 5 haha
 
closing day was yesterday. = bummer- what will i do with my lift? the answere= go pro at whiskey drinking. jack daniels, a new pro team member is on your horizon!!!

anyway shit got killllled yesterday, awsome closing day, new rails were tight, jumps got slayed hareder than anyday of the season!

I used to watch that video like erry day way back when. Thats back when i couldnt even 180 haha. It sucks that PH is closed but I'm making a backyard drop in thing so that should help pass some time. got a race next weekend here in junction should be SICK!!!

yeah ms. james herself told me haha. i got one built but for some reason the water gets to the wood and it gets all weak and skrews start stripping out and its no good. it happens every year. nick you gotta post up some pics.
 
sick yeah the whole mountain is fun. the park could use work but its gettin better for sure. also, there are many places where you can get into the backcountry which is sick
 
i usually get an aspen season pass and powderhorn pass because the aspen resorts are really sick and you can get a pass for like 200 bucks if your under 18 i think. but also, you get a few free days at other resorts with your powderhorn pass. check it out for sure.
 
I looked at aspen passes and couldn't find one for anywhere near 200 unless you only want to ski for five days. i could have been on the wrong site or something. if you find where you can get them for cheap let me know
 
you have to go to gene taylors on a certain date to get the deal. i'll keep you posted on this although i dont think i will be buying a season pass there for this year because we are going to go try some different resorts
 
alright thanks, where are you thinking of getting a pass? because i really don't know anyone here that skis a lot and it would be sweet to have a pass at the same resorts as some fellow Grand Junction NS'ers
