Anyone ridden Peak 6 at Breck yet?

Just wondering. As a tourist who hits Summit Co every year, I am stoked to check it out. But sometimes hype is just hype. Is it legit?

the hike-to terrain is gonna be rad, short vert but plenty of chutes and hucks all of which will have a much steeper landing than vail's huck to flats. Not saying I don't love a good ol vail huckfest but you get what I mean. Right now only the flat stuff right off the lift is open and there's an hour long line everyday because every texan is super duper stoked on it right now haha. I've just been lapping t-bar like usual with minimal lines, that's the best terrain open right now.

blue sky side country is fun as hell. today it was sorta wet tho but wednesday was epic. also minturn mile isnt a run, its side country so its more for you to decide if you want to hit it

Hey Nyles have you noticed how much longer the North Chutes on peak 6 look though being up there? The whole vertical run is much much longer in vert than it looks from town. Def more potential from seeing it up close than town. Everyone sign my petition so we can get a comp up there by the way!

Oh yeah the terrain feels bigger than expected. Its not bad at all. The blue bowls will keep every gaper happy and the hike to terrain will keep the pompous asshole locals happy too.

yeah I think it's going to be a lot more fun than lake chutes, especially since a lot of the good areas are in the shade whereas most of lake chutes gets sun baked.

Have you heard anything from VR beyond the initial interest yet?

When I was up there yesterday, you could see where there had been a huge fucking avalanche that took away everything down to dirt (supposedly set off by patrollers) on the south side of Peak 6 summit. There were similar slides on Peak 7 summit and Lake Chutes as well. Suffice it to say that probably none of the fun terrain will be opening any time soon. :(
