Anyone know psychology?

I have to write a research paper for my english class on something personal. I decided to write write on my mom tearing her ACL and then recovering from it. She did it skiing and the first time back, she was extremely nervous and had a lot of anxiety just because she was afraid of hurting her knee and she was afraid that she would not be able to ski since the incident. Is there any psychology term for that? Like the anxiety from facing a failed challenge? I know this happens alot in alot of action sports when the person gets injured and they go back to try it again and I want to research that mental edge that creates that anxiety from facing what broke you. I hope that makes sense.

That sparks my memory of everything I learned in AP psych last year. I will freshen up on the different types of conditioning and stimuli to see if there is anything closely related to this. Thanks man. If anyone else has any other ideas that would be great.
