Looking to buy a waxing kit for my family and a couple of friends, the spray on wax is crap after a while.... Have around 90$ to spend, doesn't have to be gradeA stuff, but I do want it to benefit us more than that rub/spray on wax. Thanks!

Buy a good wax iron designed to wax skis and boards, Then you need an all-conditions wax, and a scraper. You could easily get all of that for under $90.

just go to goodwill and get a nice iron. make sure when using it you use a low temperature. then get some wax and a scraper from your local sports store.

cost you maybe 30 bucks tops. ;)

brick of alltemp or mixed wax: 10$good iron: 40$plexi scraper: 10$scotchbrite pad: 2$ ?
and you're basically all set !(i know these prices aren't the cheapest ones, but it gives an idea of how much everything costs)

later on you can make some cheap waxing stands out some spare wood and rubberyou can expand the kit with ptex candles and a metal scraper (for base repairs)and a sharpening tool (50$ or something for a good one)

^^and that is grade A stuff, you can find a toko t8 waxiron for 40-50 dollar10 dollar is about average for toko waxand 10 dollar for a plexi scraper is also very expensive, so i bet you can find everything for even cheaper if you look around ....

it would be much easier to not buy a kit

a set of vices will make waxing soo much easier/more enjoyable/faster

a cheap iron has done me fine

a file holder/edge tool is great, so you can set a good angle
