I need a tutorial. Or what materials i need and what i use to actually paint these. And how they hold up. Sorry if this is a double post +k for real help.

you have to sand them, then like paint and clearcoat and stuff, Search, I am pretty sure its been posted before. If not, join the "how to cult" there is a tutorial there.

get your design done with some acrylics.

after your done put like 400 coats of clear coating and youll be good to go.

I don't know how you managed to find no previous threads on this.

I didn't feel the need to post up 100+ threads

Twoods has done it a few times - he posted some info about it:

https://newschoolers.com/web/forums/readthread/thread_id/148163/

Basically:

"don't prime it, don't clear coat very much

I had a whole thread that I explained it in but I can't find it anymore because of the new searchbar

Basically, start out cleaning it with some grease cutter and if you have it, denatured alcohol.

sand it to make it a little rough, with like 100 or 120 grit sandpaper. not too rough.

Spray like 5-7 VERY light coats of KRYLON BRAND FLAT WHITE on there,

the last coat should be just enough to cover up the graphics. The idea is that you spray so thin that the paint dries almost instantly upon touching the ski. You don't want wet paint that will set up into layers that will crack and flake off when the ski flexes.

after that, wipe it down with a dry cloth and use sharpies to decorate it.

then, use a VERY LIGHT coat of clear coat to seal the sharpie. "

It seems krylon is the most commonly used as it bonds to plastic very well.

yeah definetly the search bar dude. there are so many thread on it.. it helped me with my painted skis.. and the paint is actually lasting... although only my friend has used them.. and only for urbans.

Thank you, I hate seeing threads where people are throwing out ideas without trying them. I promise that that's the best way. I'm going to have a ski painting how-to video up sometime, i swear.

well i painted parallel yellow lines on my old ar5 (the madsteez ones with the guy and a gun in his hands pointing to his head on it) with nothing than an old newspaper and a can of car paint. it worked, its been on them until right now, so go for it

Spraypaint, Use stencils, make multile coats of each color, and CLEARCOAT CLEARCOAT CLEARCOAT or else all your hardword went down the drain
