Anyone hitting SnowBasin,Powder, ETC??

yeah, only good skiing in utah is park skiing right now... it was fucking 45 and sunny at pc today, felt like april.

Me and the kids are thinking about coming out for the Dew tour. Now I don't know. I'm sure it would be worth it just to see the Dew alone. What do you think Evan?

ya

i thank the Lord everyday i got that 6 inches when i was there. It looked weak too, and everywhere BUT SLC....but thankfulllly it snowed. In fact it hasn't snowed SINCE I was in Utah. Meanwhile Jackson got demolished.

felt more like 8-10 with free refills one day. Spent all my time at alta, didn't even check PC out. Went to Snowbird just ONCE and was like yeah fuck that shit. Not a god damn thing open. Rocks in the middle of even commonly used runs so you really did have to be conscious about what the fuck is going on. Alta had that little stretch by the alta/bird connection open, east greely the day after the pow day, ballroom, and cecret wasn't running so cutting over from sugar to cecret area yielded fresh snow.

It was amazing how much people just weren't going for the snow.

i will say this about utah right now. don't be surprised if you go and find it is an east coast shit show where you fear for your life as you cruise mach speed on boilerplate ice.

The day BEFORE it snowed (http://alta.com/pages/snowfallhistory.php) looks like 12-20-2011 -was just straight up "death mountain" in regards to conditions. Freeze/thaw all day going on prior to that

It was sad to see. I pray that winter changes for Utah. My next trip is to Jackson.

You guys will still have fun, pc actually has a bunch of runs open if you decide to head there, not sure about snow basin though.
