Anyone here work at bristol mountain in NY?

they're hiring and i kind of want to apply to be a liftie. would be working two jobs and trying to work mornings and then go to work at my current job after or go skiing after if i don't have to work my other job. curious how many hours they'd want me to work and what the pay is like

I don't work at Bristol but I worked at Kissing Bridge last season as a lifty.

It's a decent job, pay is just over minimum wage but in my opinion definitely not worth it if you're trying to ski a lot. I did it for the free pass but with school it was a lot and really cut into how much I skied. I worked friday, saturday, sunday at mid day(biggest problem) so I could ski for like an hour or two before or an hour or two after but was always too cold or tired to ski after and to hungover to ski before on saturdays and sunday(my fault but oh well). So if you wanna work to get free skiing, just know you aren't going to ski as much as you think. But with a good schedule you definitely can make it work.

Definitely apply and see if you get an offer! It's pretty fun. You aren't sitting on your ass or making food so it's a good job in my eyes. If you aren't loading chairs, you're at the top making sure people don't go around the bullwheel(it's fucking hilarious when it happens) and stopping the lift when people fall. Or you're shoveling which isn't bad either if you don't mind manual labor. And you get to watch Jerry's fall which is kind of hilarious.

I'm not gonna be going to school but I will be working 2 jobs. I'm also thinking about applying to be a shop tech too. The only thing is id only be looking to work like 20 hours a week and no weekends, so I don't know how flexible they'll be with it
