Since "summer" is here i have been running pretty much 3-5 times a week, and just last week i tried my first Olympic triathlon (10k run, 1.5 k swim, 30 mile bike), anyone else do running/swim/bike or triathlons?

WOW. That shit's rough. props dude.

I bike and swim and just last week started running. I used to hate it at school cause of gym class but now Im lovin it, its like I need it everyday. I dont even wanna say how much I ran though cause after your post its embarrassing haha. but yeah keepit up.

my school hosts a triathlon, it's not nearly as long as the one you did but it's decently tiring, i do a lot of biking so i'm gonna be good at that

I am first year at university, and i find running is the greatest way to relieve any sort of stress, even in finals a daily run keeps me focused.

i find running is very hit and miss for people

i personally feel like shit when i run its just not my favorite, i tried to get into but it didnt work out however I know a bunch of people that love it

different strokes i suppose

i've never been a runner, my feet pronate a lot and i used to have severs syndrome in my heels so whenever i go for a run i end up with either shin splints, ankle pain, heel pain, or all of the above
i can run okay in sports like soccer and lax with short bursts but i can't do distance too well

Yeah triatholons are the bomb i did a couple last year and they were sweet...but im a runner and run cross

It was actually kind of fun, i mean i just set out to see if i could do it, and i think i did it in around 3 hours-ish so only an hour off WR, boooo. Seriously wasn't as hard as i thought it would be, cause i usually run 5-10 km anyways each day, and swim wasn't to bad, ill probably do it again and push myself hard on the swim and bike though.

i doo all of those but not nearly that hard core man..props to you for having the balls to do that plus being in shape for that

ya i run like at least a few miles a day. how much training did you do the weeks before? like a lot or did you conserve and go easy?

I dirtjump, ride urban, and dabble in downhilling, and enjoy jumping off shit into water, does that count?

But some girls I'm friends with are currently training for a triathalon for breast cancer. I give them major props for that.

Run 3-5 times a week, i rarely swam, although coming from highschool i had done my share of swimming, and biking not to much. It was fun, give it a go

dude good shit

i do running every week day morning at 6 for 2 miles

and then when i get a chance i go street biking and just do some fun shit

Run and swim mostly. I don't do triathlons, but I did a swimming Ironman just a few years ago.

27,000 yard (16.3 miles) at 1:15 intervals per 100 yards. FML that was rough. Start at 8am and finish well into the afternoon. Took me 3 years until I finally finished one.

i bike and run. when it comes to swimming, i just sink to the bottom and start running, like a regular black person does.

ive done like 4 sport triathlon (so exactly half what was described by OP).anyone ever heard of the xterra triathlon. the bike and the run were both uphill. it was my first one at it was fucking intense.

I used to be on a competitive swim team, my coach ended up suggesting a half triathlon for me to train for. I definitely enjoyed pushing myself harder than I ever have, the swimming and the biking I had fun with seeing the improvement, but I hit so many walls with the running, so ridiculously frustrating sometimes. They ended up finding out that I have exercise induced asthma which is why I was having trouble with the running. My mom ended up freaking out and pulling me out :(

But something I really want to try is modern pentathlon, pistol shooting, fencing, swimming, show jumping, and cross country run. Sounds like a grand ole time.

i have done 6 iornman races when i was a full time lifeguard, trainings a bitch sometimes but a wholelot of fun, up at 3:30 train, catch a surf, coffee, open beach by 6, surf every so often during day, long surf at 6pm when beach closes, eat, train from 8 until 10 crash and do it again 2 rest days a week. all day doing something thats why im fit as a fiddle now.

Iron man races are like triatholons i guess

my local race every year is:

23km surf ski

1km run

4km swim

4km run

6km paddle board

10km run

it does differ with the different races, the pros do it longer.
