Anyone have experience buying sporting event tickets on Ebay?

I'm going out to the golf US Open in June with some friends and found a good deal on Ebay. Has anyone bought tickets off of ebay before? I just wanna make sure its not sketchy.

 
Not personally, but the local radio station near me was just talking about this a couple of weeks ago and I heard a TON of horror stories.....enough to discourage me from ever doing it. Stories about people not getting tickets in time, getting tickets that ended up not scanning, etc. and they all basically lost all of their money from the purchase. I'm not saying don't, but don't.
 
i buy/sell tickets all the time. Stubhub and ticketmaster are the safest, independent ticket brokers who have their own websites are also pretty safe. Ebay is a little less safe, but I have never had any problems with it because eBay does have a guarantee. Lastly, craigslist is prolly the least safe for buying, but i sell on there all the time.
