yes.

i don't mind people asking for ideas or inspiration, but when someones like.. uhhh can you write me an essay on blah blah blah

like fuck, thats retarded

I wrote my thesis on the gaining popularity of eco tourism and its cultural/environmental/economical effects on the Yucatan peninsula.
Whats your major?

people please relax. im not asking anyone to write a thesis for me. im just asking for some good refrences, advice, and information.

right now im in school for Destination resort management. If I have some spare time later ill try and help you out.

aight i'll throw you a bone. look at Queenstown, NZ. their entire economy is based on adventure tourism. They deem themselves the adventure capital of the world because they have EVERYTHING. Skydiving, bungee jumping (invented here) jet boating, heli skiing, etc. they found a way to turn everything into heli-something. this includes heli-rafting, heli-fishing, heli-walks/picnics, it's goddamn ridiculous.

i didnt really read your post but check out ecotourism in the oso peninsula in Costa Rica. big things

there are a couple of schols in bc the main one being Thompson Rivers University which has a huge adventure tourism program. there is also UBC.

This^. Although im not really sure how it compares to Canada, Ive been to Costa Rica and eco-tourism is a large part of their economy. Their federal govt owns something like 50% (i could be off on the % but i know its high) of the land there. not to sell it to the citizens, but to protect it. in the rainforest there is all kinds of adventure tours you can take. i stayed at a place called Recreo.
