Anyone from U of Portland?

rain soaked skibowl, then summit if your really feeling like you wanna push yourself. skibowl is rad though, welcome

Also Timberline and Mt Hood Meadows. All are within 1 1/2 hours of Portland (when the roads are clear and there is no traffic).

yeah man i got in too, it's one of my top choices. ski bowl has sick night skiing, and then there's hood about 90 minutes, more with snow or traffic.

anyone go here that can let me know about how much skiing you can do while studying at portland? cause i want to be able to get in a lot of skiing. even if it's night skiing at ski bowl after class.

depends on your schedule completely. i only have class mon and wed so i get a lot of skiing in :D

Definitely depends on your schedule, I'm taking a full work load and I usually only make it up on one day during the weekend and if I work hard I can get in a night ski run sometime during the week. It was a bit of a shock coming from 4-5+ days a week of skiing in highschool but it makes the times I do go all the better.

is it because you have a hard major or something? because i'm probably going to study education.

Well I'm an engineering major and I definitely find it hard. The math and science classes take a lot of my time but from what I've seen, regardless of your major if you are going to school full time your gonna be pretty busy. The main difference is the kind of work. With math and science, sometimes I have to solve a ton of problems before a concept will start to make sense to me. Whereas the I'm sure the education type classes are going to have lots of papers and reports which I'm not very good at but I know some people can absolutely dominate a paper in no time. I'm not sure if any of this makes sense, but the bottom line is that if you want to ski you can make it happen, you just have to manage your time pretty well.

good luck

Im Going to Portland State University, fusion pass way to go you get to ski timberline (for park) and skibowl for night skiing/back country.

bump. portland's my top choice at this point, anyone else?
