Anyone ever road trip to CO from East Coast?

My buddies and I are going to take a road trip from PA to our friends spot in Aspen in January and I was wondering if anyone from the east coast ever made the trip? Any tips/suggestions/ideas? Cool places we should stop at on the way? We never road tripped that far before and I'm just trying to get a feel for it.

I drove from Virginia to SLC when I moved. Every state in between WV and WY suuuucked. So damn boring, but I drove by myself. Suggestions? Lots of the Devils lettuce and lots of music.

From Pittsburgh it takes about a day and a half but this is dependent on how fast you go, how many stops you take, etc.

Take I-80, its 20x more interesting than I-70.

you get great stuff like:

- the world's largest truck stop just over the border in Iowa

- omaha

- a giant indian (woo, woo, not dot) memorial that goes over the highway in Nebraska right before you get to 76.

- rumor is there is a place you can buy legal weed right over the border in CO now. so thats a new one.

my advice. pull it off like a bandaid and only stop at gas stations. you'll be there in no time. you are only driving like a 1/3 of the contiguous united states, pretty small place if you think of it in the context of the universe.

Stop in Chicago for a night of partying and maybe check out Lake Michigan. Notre Dame is kinda cool I guess if you wanna check out the stadium and shit...Besides that, as stated above, it's best to just power through it because 90% of the states between here and CO suck.

Dehydrate yourself and eat a ton of cheese to make you constipated so you never have to stop.

i made the drive from maryland to keystone like 5 years back. We left around noon on sunday, stopped to rest for a few hours late that night in indiana, and arrived in dillon around 9 the next evening. not bad at all when you can switch drivers

Also Chicago is a dope city with lake michigan/really cool sights to see. Get some friends in chicago and stay there for a few nights. I've done maine to california 4 times, pa to co is nothing. 2 day drive if you power through.
