Anyone else miss gangster style

Everyone is starting to wear tight clothes and don't have that old "gangster style" like Tom warnick or slumdog illionaire I'm still into the old baggy style. Anyone else feel me?

I am your breed op. #baggyforlife I miss the whole gunshots, Eff the police, and after bang every thing mindset. thats why I always wear nothing smaller than an xxl . Long live gangster style

My homie timmy still rocks everything at least 4xl. hes a way better skier than most and also looks steezy as shit. I wear kinda tight gear and suck. so more power to the baggy kids out there.

nah bro, i still rock xxl minimum. The less g style riders at my hill the more stoked when 2 of us meet.

jiberish was the leader of that style back when there stuff went to 5xl. Now the biggest you can get on most things is 3xl. shit is too small

most deffinatley miss it. However i don't feel as though its gone. i still see tons of people rocking 2-4xl pants and tall tees. I think it is just as the skiing community has progressed so had a lot of different styles. i feel the gangster style is still present, but now we have a whole variety of different steezes, looks and styles. I however love the gangster style and try to rep it in my ridding for sure.

I think a bunch of riders till rock that OG style, just less flashy colours which if you ask me if totally fine.Take for example John Ware. A big factor is that many brands don't make those huge baggy sizes or dimensions anymore like Virtika (fd) even though their stuff is still nice its just not as baggy. But on the other hand brands like Tall T which still make those dope fits we used to love and I can't see that style going away, because its a root style of our sport and many people including me love it.

Also although i didnt necessarily like music/baggy clothes some of the style that came out of that era such as slumdog illionaire and some other Twall stuff has never been matched

this is why i dont like max hill and all the new skiers that wear tight shit and listen to like death metal and rock are like the histers of skiing and i hate it . i agree we should keep the gangster style alive.

Watch your fucking mouth

To be fair, I can definitely respect the baggy era and how big it was for skiing with edits like slum dog Ilionaire and I don't give two shits if someone wants to wear baggy clothes. I just feel like the newer, more street clothes influenced style looks 10x better.

yeah man, god forbid anyone that's a skier has music tastes! it should just be one collective hive mind.

I am on the same page as you. I'm talking landings looking like they came straight out of 07 and the tall T to my knees speakers blaren fuck the police.

I hated the super baggy gangster look...that being said its just clothes so whatever people can do what they want. But I loved the style associated with that gangster type of skiing. The slow, smooth, flowy style just got to me and I still try to ride with that type of style.

They're just trends, looks, styles, whatever. If you like one, great. If you don't, just wait a minute.

Personally, I like a more tailored, functional look, so I dig the skinnier side of it, but that's me.

Tanner's segment here is what I miss about Gangster style. Start it 30 minutes in.

"gangster" style or whatever its called was fun for a minute, but then I reached a point where freezing your dick off cuz all your 3XL cotton layers are soaked/iced over wasn't fun anymore.

inb4 someone posts the infamous newschooler photo of that kid posing in his mirror with his 8xl jacket & pants that killed the baggy style almost for good...

I must see this.

anyone that's mentioning simon dumont here watched the slumdog video when they were younger than 12. I'm sorry, but please stop using that as an example here, there's way too many other names that come to mind that were actually involved in the movement

That Dumont edit more or less epitomized that era of skiing, hence why everyone is bringing it up. Obviously there were others.

I see what you're saying but it was more of a joke, let's talk about the real shit

I just started skiing last season and the baggy style makes me want to go skiing more than any other style and i wish there were more newer skiers going with this style

The forced "afterbang" that this style popularized needs to stop also. You look like your'e trying wayyyy too hard when you land a front 2 and ride out all dramatically, which unfortunately I see all the time at keystone.

I forgot a lot of other people too, t hall! I was just noting that Simon dumont had little to do with the movement so slumillionaire shouldnt be mentioned here

i think the best lookin style these days is honestly the nonchalant baggy look. like casual baggy. think wibbity wabs, keegan kilbride, kieran mcveigh, etc

WHY DID 5 LAYER 7-XL TALL TEE STEEZ GO RETRO ?

JUST LOOK AT DOLLO (FAR RIGHT) AND B-DOG (2ND FROM RIGHT)

index.php

IF THE TEE DONT TOUCH UR BOOTS, U GOT 0 STEEZ. DEAL WITH IT.

I totally miss it! Watching a bunch of privileged, pussy white kids dressing and acting GANGSTA was probably the most hilarious fad in the history of stupid fads. Please, please, please bring it back! Those laughs lasted all day long.
