I'm thinking of buying a 2000 ford ranger from my dad's friend and I was wondering how they are in the snow and do they have any problems.

A friend of mine has a 2003 Ford Ranger, and its chill, good for snow and just fucking around here and there.

I know 2 people who have them. The one kids is 4x4 and is sick in the snow. The other kids in 2/4 and eats balls in the snow.

better to burn out...

...then fade away

well I have a 98 (I know you were saying 2000+), but the 4 wheel worked great in the snow, but I haven't had reliable 4-wheel drive for the past two winters. Something to take a look at is pop the center cap off on the wheel (front), and check to see if there is a screen blocking debris from getting into the hub. If there is, becareful to not lose your centercap because water could get in there and foul up your 4-wheel drive (that's what best guess was with mine). Overall, pretty decent truck, good 4-wheel drive (when its working properly, replace the centercap ASAP if you lose it), and decent handling in 2-wheel drive in foul weather (if you put weight in the bed of the truck and know how to drive in foul conditions).

^we've got a burner!!!!

but honestly you can find burner pics or bad wrecks with everything.

Now, I'm not a Ford fan, but don't mind their trucks (have 2), but dont forget Found On Road Dead, First On Race Day, Fucked On Race Day, Fun Off-Road Driving, and backwards, Driver Returns On Foot.

Thats all the FORD phrases I know.

Big trucks blow in the snow because they have wide tires. And yes if the driver is an ass all cars suck in the snow and that one didn't exactly look like 2000. I'm going to have a canopy and lots a crap in the back so I figure it will do pretty well with the extra weight.
