i got a ticket a while back and now i have a court date for wednesday. ive never been to court before and dont know what to expect. What's it like?

well you sit there for about 2 hours a wait till they get threw all the felonies and misteminors and sowhat. then they call your name and you say guilty or not guilty. if you say not guilty they order a dispositional conference with the states attorney and they will normaly let you off the hook.. i just went about a month ago

yeah dude usually everyone in there is in for something a lot worse than a speeding ticket. just watch every1 who goes before u and think about what u are going to say like whether you want to ask for a reduction or whatever. just stay calm and try not to get nervous haha i freaked out when i went

It's super annoying. You go in and theres a bunch of people, they call out your names and you say present. Then you move to the hallway and you wait for them to call your name again. The people next to me had first degree assault on each other...they were dating. And to my right was chad otterstrom. Resisting arrest.

I was driving without my car's registration. i felt like such an OG

Wear nice clothes i.e. good shoes, khakis, and button down shirt (a tie will def help) you gotta show the judge your not just some kid trying to get out of a ticket. Make sure you say YES and never YEAH. Be as polite as possible, the trick is to kiss ass without looking like your kissing ass. Also if it's a speeding ticket and the cop doesnt show up just argue that that you were going with the flow of traffic or you were late for a test or some bullshit because if hes not there then you are golden. OR if your family has a good attorney, have him get it reduced to a parking violation. I was going 84 in a 55 and to this day I still dont know how he did it but it got reduced to a non-moving violation, it was so tight...but yea good luck

yea i went for inattentive driving (only because the cop said he didnt want to give me a ticket for wreakless driving) when i got there i waited about 30 min, then they asked how i plan to plea, and they told me if i plead guilty i would get an infraction of unsafe lane change. so i said that i planned on pleaing guilty, and the judge asked what happened and he was pretty cool about the whole thing. the ticket cost about $30 but the court fee was about $70, and i told the judge, that in between the ticket and the court date i voluntairily took a safe driving course, and that kinda helped
