Hey I just sent in all my stuff so I will be at the University of Portlnad next year. Anyone on here going to school there? I just cant wait to be down there next winter skiing at Mt. Hood instead of shitty Crystal with no terrain park.

Well alright apestead you know what im glad im leaving Crystal too. You dont have to be rich to ski there either I just live a lot closer to Crystal than anywhere else and I'm not rich enough to pay for gas to get to Stevens.

im not rich enought to drive to stevens either, all i can afford is a student pass to snoqualmie, but i still get in 60 days, so either you barely ski at all, or your rich enuff to have a pass at crystal. its one or the other

all I have is a midweek pass to crystal that i spent all my money on cause my parents wouldnt pay for it. Oh yeah I will be majoring in engineering managment

so are you going to the university of portland or another school down there???? well I would give you rides to the mountain but I'm pretty sure theres some sort of rule that freshman aren't allowed to have a car while living on campus.

hmmm. i don't think that there is a rule forbidding freshman from having cars. at least there wasn't previously...

here is what I found on the schools website

'Resident students, classified as freshman, may not bring an automobile to the University. If this policy poses a hardship, an exception may be granted by the Office of Residence Life.

Freshmen resident students who park on campus, or in the adjacent University Park neighborhood, violate the policy of not bringing an automobile to campus and subject themselves to a $50 fine each day they are found in violation.'

yeah so that kinda sucks so looks like I will be trying to get rides to the mountain.

damn, i knew alot of people that were breaking that rule then. here's a plan then, get a job or something that takes you away from school that is over 15 minutes away. work downtown or something. then they would be likely to let you have a car.

Oh yeah that is a good idea then cause I read something that they will allow some freshman to drive but it had to be a really good reason.

crystal has just gotten worse though. Every year the ticket prices keep going way up and they still dont have a park. Mt. Hood is just better i think. I have to agree with you on the backcountry though thats the best part at crystal

ticket prices have gotten way outta hand. i work there though, so i get a free pass. that's the way to go
