Anybody worked as a promoter for an exam prep company at your universty

My friend at a different university referred me to an exam prep company looking to expand to my school for a job promoting it at my university and am wondering if you or somebody you know has done this or something similar and is it something worth doing?

A friend of mine just recently got hired but he didnt start yet. He said the majority of the job requires him to post and hand out flyers on campus and thats about it. Im sure theres more than that to it though.
