I get out there once, maybe twice a week if work let’s me. I drive 4 and a half hours to get there and usually go alone because nobody want to make that drive. If anybody rips out there lmk, first beer is on me

What's up man! Just moved to Charleston after living out in Tahoe, CO, and Hood for 10 years. Heading out to Beech the weekend of 2/5 if you're around.

Yeah man I should have that Saturday off so I’ll probably be up there. Are you in Charleston SC? I used to live in Columbia and would visit Charleston a couple times a year. How you liking the east coast?

Where were you guys when I was in SC? I would have killed for real skier friends. Didn’t get that until I moved to Tahoe.

We’ll have to have an SC NS meet up when I visit my parents and friends! Ha

Just checked their site and they seem to have a pretty rad setup, they usually have a pretty solid park but haven't been up there since they added a bunch of new features to the park.

It's been a very good year in regards to snowmaking temps. It has been consistently cold which has allowed them to lay down a super solid base. In terms of the park, there is usually a couple rails out but they are all really small. Cat only has 1 person that is on park crew this season so its hard for him to set up anything big. One of the OG park crew members at Cat now works as a GM and he is hyped on brining back Cats park to what it used to be.

Hopefully after presidents day weekend they will put more emphasis on the park. I helped the dude on park crew set up one of the bigger rails but it got pulled right before MLK. It is a huge liability to them to put out big rails before any holiday weekend.

That's crazy they only got one person on park crew since they have been having good snowmaking temps. If I take a trip to Cat this season I'll definitely hit you up when im up there

bump, I live in Clemmons, NC and have been going with my daughter this year to teach her. First time skiing in NC, and it seems to be a good year snow wise. We are probably going to Beech next wednesday or the wednesday after that. Also I want to go back to App by myself to ski park if anyone is interested

We have a new park build coming soon it should be up by the weekend. Right now we have a 30ft rail, elbow, wall ride, and a 20 foot kicker

ski there all the time. i'm the skier on the park report page

In the Volkls? Fuck yeah. I’m gonna be up there next week probably just wednesday but maybe Thursday too.

I was there on saturday and it was packed, 30+ minute lift lines so I mostly lapped the park. looking to go again when its less busy

Try to go during the week if you can, it’s much better. No lift lines and you don’t have to deal with all the first timers learning since most go up on weekends.

Columbia is home base but I’m kinda jumping all over! I’d be down to pick a spot that’s easy for everyone.

How are the trails at beech, I’ve never biked out there before?

beech's trails are super nice but last season from what i heard is that they were not maintained very well but i mostly bike at sugar, they probably have my favorite trails i've ridden

Oh yeah I know wildewood. I grew up in the Arcadia lakes/forest acres area. It’s not too far

i've seen enough cartoons to know that this would result in being suspended by the water in a very silly way until eventually floating to the ground like a falling leaf
