Anybody know how to calm aisian parents down about grades?

I dunno man chances are they care about nothing other than your grades. I had weirdo parents like this almost sent me to private school when I was in one of the best public districts in the country for getting a couple Cs. I got into a good college and was still treated like a fuckup because teachers bullied me with bad grades cause I didn’t try hard enough.

Just get in somewhere good so you can get the fuxk away from them don’t make them waste money on a shitty college cause they will say fuck that go to community and live at home.

Remember in the real world it’s dofferent no one wants to hire the plumber who doesn’t finish and is in your house every day for a week.

Idk what to tell you tho I’m 33 and they are still hard core up in my shit calling me every day asking me to go over there house for dinner every day moving to within a fucking mile of my crib it really really sucks I can’t afford to move and I shouldn’t leave my job anytime soon I’m fully remote and it’s chill I’m stuck it’s like being 15 again.
 
If you do something really bad they will stop worrying about grades and worry about that other thing. Maybe hard drugs? Armed robbery? Male prostitution?

For real though, just get good grades. It's basically your only responsibility as a kid.

Agreed, it's literally IMPOSSIBLE to struggle in high school. Mock me as much as you'd like, this does not mean a thing. Firstly, you don't "get" me. I have an extraordinary mind not only as said by me, but also by far more intelligent people than me. I have a friend who's currently studying engineering physics who says I'm one of the few people that can keep up with him in a complicated conversation. Secondly, to your surprise, yes I do have friends, I met my best friend 17 years ago and we're like brothers since, he's aware that I'm a brainiac and sometimes calls me a walking encyclopedia, and I don't see why here I have to dumb down myself for the sake of attracting the affection of "internet people". I am who I am and you know nothing about me, all you can do is make assumptions based on a few internet comments. I can't stop you doing it, but I can choose to either take it seriosly or just entertain myself. And to end with - “The thing about smart people is that they seem like crazy people to dumb people.” - Stephen Hawking.
 
Once you get a thousand karma on NS you can tell your parents and they will forgive you for the bad grades
 
I was a borderline child in high school. I barely passed high school. My whole childhood could be remembered as being treated like a retarded child by faculty, the mocking by others, harassment by family, the anxiety so severe that I would break out in rashes and could not sleep well from the stress of failing...

I kept up the fight all the way to a career and now making great money and taking winters off. I may not make 6 digit salary, but I love what I do.

The best way to keep people off your back is to put in the effort in memorizing answers. Do some extra curricular activities, focus on a sport to deal with the stress of school. Try to take an interest in a skill and work on it. Grades are often focused on, but developing yourself into a well balanced person early in life should be the point.

Are you aware that some people have a brain condition that causes them to be that way? Take myself for example, in high school I managed to write a university level essay far above the calibre of any other students in my class. The teacher for some reason gave me a C-. But I know for a fact it was far better than that. She literally just gave me that score to make the other students feel good about themselves. That's politics for you though! Anyways in a day where diamonds are a dozen and bails of hay don't grow on the sidewalk like they used, I am a firm believer in good old fashioned hard work, tallyho!

Dang man sorry to hear. Just don’t go to the Aokigahara forest like they do in Japan. You’ll someday somehow manage to make your parents proud. Don’t need to get good grades to be hungry for success. They can teach book smarts, but can’t teach hustle in college. Richest friends I know at the moment don’t have a college degree
