Anybody here go to VMI?

I'll be starting at VMI this august and I want to know if anybody on here is currently going to VMI or will be going this year. I know its a longshot but might as well ask.

Here's probably the only response you're going to get:

No, I didn't, but I know many.

Don't drink the kool-aid.

Nothing there matters until you branch and commission.

Be humble, but better than everyone else.

Play and win the fuck-fuck games, but erase them from your mind in four years.

Don't be a dick.

Life after is pretty sick if you make the right choices.

Have fun at Wintergeen or south a mountain in south PA.

PM me if you have any questions.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to try to stay as chill as possible. I know there will be some guys who will be on huge power trips here but I'll try to find a cool group to hang out with to keep myself from becoming a jerk. I'm not really into the whole screaming thing but I might have to do it a couple times so I'm not targeted. I kind of figured there wouldn't be any skiers in Virginia. I just got the peak pass so I might be able to hit up roundtop/liberty/whitetail in southern PA on long weekends. They don't have crazy setups there but I'm not a great park skier yet anyway. I have a month off for winter break so I'll probably head up to Vermont for some good skiing. Mount Snow is part of the peak pass which I'm pretty sure is the same as Carinthia parks. I don't know about spring break yet, I'm not sure if there are any places in PA/NY/VT open then, but if there are I'm going to try and ski as much as possible.

That brings up a great point, the phrases: "you are who you hang out with" and "perception is reality" are 100% true in your case and definitely don't forget that going into freshmen year.

Peak pass is definitely a good call. I'm stationed in PA and I ride RT (some times WT/Liberty), so feel free to hit me up when the time comes and we can ride together. You'll definitely have more questions then answers by that time. Good luck.

Its definitely nice to get some insight from someone outside of the whole VMI system and I'll be sure to keep your advice in mind for the school year. I'll PM you if I've got anymore questions. Thanks.
