Anybody care to critique a song I just finished?

So I just got all my recording gear back up and running and I decided to write a song today. Here's what I came up with.

Note: All guitars are mic'd Epiphone es-333 through my peavey valveking

Drums, pianos, and bass are all software.

I'll probably add vocals later.

Super mellow. I like it.

One thing I would add is some light ride cymbal in the back to help fill up your sonic space a little better.
 
I liked the song a lot, but i found the drums to be pretty distracting, they just seemed a bit too "fake" to me. obviously that could be changed later though
 
so sick, nice job man. Do you listen to post rock much? It really had that feel to me. somewhat explosions in the sky-ish
 
haha yeah i completely understand. i don't know what program you used but if you are using Garageband (which the drums sound like to me) try using "AUMatrixReverb" (in the sidebar under "Details") on the drums for a more realistic sound.

The vocals sound great by the way!
 
Yeah I need to get a good drum plug-in for Cubase(I just use GB for MIDI). But I will definitely try that, thanks for the kind words!
