Any pointers on switch spinning?

Hey guys, I've got my spins up to 7 and I've been tryin to get some switch, but I'm not having too much luck. Any shot I could get some tips on spinning switch?

carve a little going off the jump with your weight centered and try to start spinning once your off the jump(although youll still spin while on) other than that its the same as forward

start learning with a really late switch 1...shiftying it out.

i started to make switch spins 2 months ago and had problems with the take off and spinning till a few weeks ago...make sure you are super comfortable skiing switch, bend your knees a little bit on the inrun and don't try to spin to early and don't forget to pop...start with sw 1s and then move to switch 3s...i did the sw 3s till i felt really comfortable spinning switch and then moved to switch 5 - works really good now - hope i get the sw 7 down this weekend...good luck and don't think about it too much, things work better when you just do it

Make sure you don't pop too early... we've all done it and ended up losing a ski on the lip... I did that on a sw 3 last weekend.

Also, Im pretty new to it, but I like to look over my shoulder, then right before I hit the lip, look uphill a little bit, then throw and look over your shoulder again. I think it helps you to pop/throw later as well as really get a good throw.

i usually wait till im fully off the jump to spin, otherwise i always catch my front tips, thats what seem sot work for me

i open my body to about 100 degrees as i go off the jump and just keep it open until i get to my desired rotation

Cool thanks guys. Yeah I've had trouble with my ski popping off on the lip, even with my DIN up to 10. I posted on another switch spin thread but maybe you guys can answer the same Q. When riding switch, should I be looking over the top of my shoulder or around the side of it?

sorry for my previous dick posts. and on your question, it depends, kinda both to see the whole field of view but like your eye level should be above your shoulder. but probably you should be looking over it cuz if your looking around the side of it then your leaning over too much IMO. you should have to look around it until your coming up to the jump and crouching and prewinding your spin. hope that helped
