Any one else pissed at sagawear

patience my man! Check the site, under customer updates it says that they were supposed to ship out yesterday but since yesterday was a holiday then they are probly being shipped out today. Its gonna probly take a week or so with shipping...it will be worth the wait. I ordered my pants in october and trust me im just as anxious as you, but chill it will all be worth it in the end
 
Everyone who is hating on saga needs to chill out. I went over and checked out the new shit the other day and it is absolutely awesome. They started shipping out yesterday. All the product will definately be worth the wait. It is by far the steeziest shit out this year. Patience are a virtue and they are getting fucked by customs!!
 
I can't take a company seriously if it takes that long to get their stuff. It doesn't matter how cool it is, for $500 you should get it in a reasonable amount of time.

This goes for any company not just Saga. If you pay your hard earned cash for their product it should come in a reasonable time. I don't care if it is the steeeeeeziest thing ever, its a business.
 
I support what they are doing but with their track record, even if I had the money I would not pre-order.
 
yeah dude im slightly pissed i though it would be shipping on the 13th. all we can do is wait. i hope they send us some stickers and an apology note or something
 
This is from another thread, and should address most of your questions and concerns:

Today is Wednesday, December 17. In the last week we have extended our shipping date from December 15 to a week later. We received an official report that our product will clear customs in Seattle and arrive to us between December 23rd and 25th. We will ship every order via Fed Ex the day we receive our product, so domestic orders will ship 2-4 business days and international orders will arrive 6-10 business days (customs in an unavoidable process we must go through). Rest assured our owners will be working through the holiday time without break, forgoing time with friends and families to get your gear to you as fast as we can.

Please understand that as a new business in a competitive industry, Saga is still working out a few kinks. Our line this year will far exceed our previous products, and we truly appreciate our customers’ patience and positive responses to our product. quit bitching, if you don't want to wait get the full refund saga is offering, although you'll probably have your suit in like 3 days...
 
this is bullshit. everyone saying its fine cos it'll be worth the wait shut the fuck up. seriously i get that customs are a nightmare etc but having dropped this much cash on a suit the customer service should at least be able to reply to emails, answer the phone or just let people know what is going on. the last update was on 17th december saying everything would be shipped out 25th. so has it been shipped? we don't know cos there's no change to the website, no official update on here. nothing.all i want is to know whats happening.
 
If waiting a few more days for your much-anticipated outerwear is giving you too much of a head-ache, then simply ask for a refund. It is my understanding that people who pre-ordered and don't want to wait a couple more days can call/email to get a full refund.

IMO though, I think the wait will be well worth it. The quality is a step up from last years, and the fit is even better than the previous line.

If you can, be patient, and if you really are that frustrated, maybe you should get a job with Fed Ex and ensure this sort of thing wont happen to others in the future.

Shit! I've preordered a complete suit but I'm not sure if it was a 09/10 preorder. Wish to ski with Ivory Jacket on November 09!
 
yea kids god shut up - i mean, if you ordered a 08/09 suit for 700 dollars and it comes in 09/10 you guys are just gay. Why buy a suit for your season when you can get it fresh halfway through? balllllllin

 
I got fucking soaked skiing stevens pass today because i didnt have my new shit. Although stevens was sick as fuck so it helped out.
 
The saddest part about this situation is the company is growing and getting their shit together (this is only the 2nd year of production/ Sale) so in the future there will not be issues like this. But everyone is gonna remember this shit and not buy. but quite honestly, i don't care cuz that means less of you fucks will be wearing the same thing as me. Get your refunds.
 
i was hoping i'd get mine today but nothing... lame that mail doesn't deliver on sundays now i (hopefully) will get it on monday....
 
I had the same question as you so I just emailed Andy at Saga asking if he could let me know in fact they did ship out the suits and if they will emiail a tracking number. When he emails back Ill let everyone know
 
Firstly 15th, then 20th, then 25th,... I guess the next realease will be 25 August

I will have a party when I have the Ivory jacket and pants
 
I agree, I don't understand why they can't use 3 minutes and give us all an update in the thread they made some days ago! I've paid over a month ago, I really want to know what's happening!
 
im not so much pissed as disappointed. When i ordered my jacket and pants on OCTOBER 25, over 2 months ago, i expected it to be a long ways until i recieved my stuff....i know the product will make up for the wait but holy shit this is taking forever. Needless to say when that package arrives at my house in a few days i am going to go apeshit and i will probably not take it off for at least 3 days.
 
You guys really need to give Saga a break. I did international sourcing for my own company and a few others years ago. Being a small company working with Asian suppliers and sewing shops is more difficult than banging a St Catherine St prostitute and walking away without the herp. Communication is terrible and deadlines are constantly missed. China encompasses everything that is painful about sourcing. It's the reason large companies have internal sourcers located overseas.

Understand that a supplier's already low margins are even worse when dealing with small orders. There's minimal encouragement to put forth a real effort for small orders. Fixed costs can't be spread out as easily and a screw up destroys your bottom line. Turn around times do not mean guaranteed delivery. If you're producing in the same shop as a larger retailer, say JanSport, and that retailer puts in a second order, your product is either going to get unknowingly outsourced to another shop who produces even lower quality products or you'll have to wait for the larger company's second order to be fulfilled.

If you want to complain, that's fine, but complain about something Saga controls, like emailing you back. I'm sure their level of anger with suppliers is 10 fold your anger level.
 
Sagas new stuff is epic and will be worth the wait, but it is pretty sad that they can't handle getting this shit together. I mean look at lethal descent, that is a brand new company produced over seas (pretty sure) and their stuff has been out on the hill for a while now... Advice to saga: whatever you have done the last two years, do it at least 2 months sooner than you've been doing it.

in this time of need i think people should just layer up and put on their favortie tall tee and just let sagawear get their shit done when they can....custom orders are a bitch

its worth the wait, and judging by everyones sales on here, in buy sell trade, yall got alot of outerwear to use until you get the stuff. remember k2 used to release the next years public enemy halfway through the year, this is probably why. because there are problems with manufacturing and shipping, especially when you pay attention to detail and you have to make sure that the people you hired to pay attention to YOUR details , it might take longer. nothing is worse than having someone say yes the job will be done on this date, and it isnt done then. but it happens.

you can forsure bet that saga wont have any sizing issues or detail issues that some other companies had this year, whats better getting a product ontime that you didnt order ....or getting a product a bit late that will surpass all of your expectations? choice is simple. the new fabric is too dope to comprehend. im pretty sure its bulletproof. if you are going to cry about it
 
I was so excited to get home and see a big package from them but then my hopes were crushed when I found nothing...I still havent gotten any emails back from Andy but when i do illl be sure to let everyone know!
 
I was a little annoyed with them too. Stickers shouldn't take 2 weeks. I love these companies, but if I pay for shipping I want it in a timely manner. Ski companies seem to think that if their stuff is cool enough they can do whatever they want. 4FRNT consistently ships my stuff in 3-5 days though, 5 orders and all of them fast.
 
i have to say i am pretty unhappy and i didn't even order a suit that is on pre order. I ordered a last year model suit and it came pretty quickly. then after wearing it a few times i notices it ripped on a seam on the sholder. so i called them and left messages no call back. emailed with and without pics of the rip no reply. I know they are busy and all but it has been over 3 weeks now with no contact. suit is pretty sick but is it really worth it? i am starting to think no.
 
i dont think there updating cause they still havent got there shit together and they dont want us to bitch at them more thats just my theroy
 
that could be one theory or we could try to be optimistic in this situation and think they havent updated anything yet because they have been so busy sending our stuff

the problem with dealing with 16 year olds??? no patience, world revolves around them, the in ability to understand a situation. its the holidays guys, the people running saga have probably had the most stressfull holiday season they have ever had in their lives. what have you all be doing , you are out of school, underage drinking, and hopefully skiing often. with your parents putting food on the table.

they probably havent answered your emails because one person is in charge of that and when someone sends 1000 emails, all about the same thing, one person cant respond to 1000 emails, sorry.

like they said if you want your money back take it and go make a down payment on a gsuit.
 
^so when adults do business with each other they don't expect any kind of punctuality? It's just cause little kids are impatient? Pretty sure if one grown man expects something from another grown man he will be equally impatient, the only difference is he would hopefully do something more constructive than talk about it on newschoolers.

and saga did give an update on their site, and there is a sticky in gear talk about it. considering its the busiest time of the year for travel, and shipping things i would expect things on the later side of the spectrum.

dont get me wrong it sucks not to have something you purchased, but just be and understand they arent nike.

im not hating on saga but your argument is flawed. just because they are not nike does not mean we were warned in advance of delays. we are allowed to be disappointed. i CANT STAND when people on this site are condescending to me in this way.
i gave up a lot of my hard earned pay (yes i support myself), and i simply want my product. if it cant make it in a timely manner i just want some customer service. all im doing now is venting my dissatisfaction. you make it sound like i filed a complaint with the BBB.
but we all know since im just a stupid underage drinking 16 year old i wouldnt know how to do that anyways.
 
Fact of the matter is they're customer service is horrible. Their telephone number the provided on their site goes straight to answering machine, and they never call back. They never email back either. They don't update their "Customer Updates" or their thread on NS. If they would just be honest with us and tell us what's going on, I would be much happier and sympathetic. As it is now, I am losing so much respect for them because they are ignoring us, the customer. It is not a good way to run a company, and hopefully they will change things in time.
