Any one else had problems with the bases on 09 Line Anthems

Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as I am, bought some 09 anthems recently, the bases dont hold any wax, and seem to go dry, white and fluffy after only an hour on snow. I'm a ski technician so believe me I have tried almost every combination of base preparation (textures, grinds, polishes, felix process, low temp wax, higher temp wax, race wax etc etc etc), but nothing seems to work. Same problem, going to try to send them back, but cant seem to find any decent contact details for someone who deals with line in the UK who i can get in touch with. If anyone else has been experiencing the same problem and maybe even knows how to fix it, please get in touch, thanks g

I have the same problem with mine, Il put a coat of wax on and it'l be all worn off by the end of the day, But can you send them back for that?

My brother has Anthems, but i've skied on them a few times. And i have definitely noticed that they hold the wax for a much shorter period than my own skis. I always wax both pairs of skis at the same time, and the Suspects can go for a almost a weak without any wax, but the Anthems need maintenance after a couple of days.

Im pretty sure all line skis are like that. for some reason they dont hold wax. but fuck wax in bases bitch i dont know how.

fuck waxin bases bitch i don't know how... bla bla bla ive got team managers now

but no i havn't waxed or sharpened my skis in 2 years... man up!

hahahahaha your a bitch, would you rather ride skis that slide on snow or drag? you just to stupid to figure out how to drip some melted wax on your skis with an iron hahaha your a joke i bet your skis a two rusty ass peaces of shit you sport with your rentel helmet and your girls jeans

well they've been sitting around for a couple seasons right? Just on factory base wax, so It's not really brain science to assume they've dried up a bit.. But something like that shouldn't be at the fault of the consumer...

Just like the invader ordeal, hopefully (if it's in fact a problem with each set) Line will pull through in the end.

I definately know what your talking about, my anthems are hella slow, I cased jumps late season because it would hold the wax, I thought that it was because I was center mountain, but then I realized that acusation was stupid haha

i have invaders and have exactly the same problem i cant hold anywax in them i just gave up on it and dont wax them anymore i hope my bacons that i just bought will hold wax well anyone know?

Dunno whether im glad or dissappointed that so many people are having the same problems, mine are literally un-skiable, they hold wax for like 2-3 runs through the park maximum, then they just stick to the snow, at a comp i was recently at had to skate and pole my way through the entirety of my run. Line are made by K2 now so there should be no excuse for shoddy bases, it really lets the ski down as the flex and shape are perfect. Ended up forking out for a new pair of k2 silencers so i could have some skis, enjoying my skiing again now.

i have a k2 disorderly and just the damn same problem!

seems like K2 has some bad bases on the cheaper skis....

Never heard of that before, but then again you wont find the highest end bases on lines price point park skis.

I have the same problem with my 09 anthems, and I thought it was because i was using the wrong kind of wax. I never get enough speed so i have to use my poles all the time lame. But whatever there sick skis and so fun.

i felt that with my 09 invaders when i was in CO chargin the pow, moguls, groomers and park, but here on the ice coast all you need are some semi decent edges and some balls and you are good to go!
IF SPEED IS DESIRED WHEN RIDING 09 LINE SKIS: WAX ON THE CHAIRLIFT IN BETWEEN RUNS!

I've had the same problem with my Spiral Anthems. I'd wax them then after a couple of runs they'd turn white again and start sticking.

i have the same problem, but im 100% sure its cause i was a moron and ski'd them half the season on the factory wax. And yes, i do feel very stupid right now for mistreating my wonderfull skis that way. Any way to save them? or should i continue kicking myself in the ass some more.

question: I have 09 Anthems on the way to me, what can i do to prevent these problems? Get a good wax first im assuming?

from my experience, lines don't hold wax for very long. I don't wax often, my dad does them probably twice a year because i guess he doesn't think mine need it even though he does his often? but my 08 chronics are fine, i skied them half the season until i waxed them, the only time it sucks is when tis raining out, wet snow, or really warm and sticky.

i noticed that too this year, it was slightly annoying, but what even more annoying is my left ski is broken, it looks like this ---------/
