Hey NS, for anyone that has attended one of these events what can you tell me about them? Any fun? Is it worth driving down to go to them?

And for anyone who doesn't know what this is or doesn't recognize the name I pretty much mean a stanced car show. Where a bunch of people meet, have fun, just hang out and check out others cars.

Anyways has anyone attended something like this before?

IA will be headed near my neck of the woods in July. Not necessarily the same thing, but a huge meet none the less.

Depending on how big it is is, I went to another level car show. Definetly a dope time, it was in a 4 level parking garage. My friend had an s2k and the higher the level the nicer the car. Then theres friday night lights which is some cases is just a massive party. Its from like 9 pm to 3 am in a toyota dealership and thats fun. Judging how big it is, you will most likely have fun.

I would, but there are no events around here. Going to a poker run meet ran by the S2K club in August down in victoria though!

Meets are always fun meet new people and other owners on the same types of veichles and see what they've done to them. Also good for advice if your car breaks down all the time. turbo car problems

None of the bigger meets are anywhere close to where I am, but when I had my old A4 I went to one almost once a month in Denver/Front range area.

It's obviously way more fun if you have a car that stands out, the first few I went to I just had a stock/OEM plus looking A4 that was lowered and had an exhaust, it blended in so well that nobody noticed it. When I got new wheels, and went a little wild with it I always had more fun, because my car got in more photos and all that.

I wish I could go to H20i, seems hella fun. Been to a couple out in the Bay and they're usually cool to hang out at and for the most part people are pretty chill. You know there is a stance thread right? Probably woulda been better to post in there then make a whole thread about it where you will surely get flamed but the "NSG Motorsports Enthusiasts"

I've been to a couple local Subaru meets over the years, but no big shows. It's definitely an interesting mix of people that shows up to these things, but for the most part, everyone gets along. You have your megabro douchewagons that think they are awesome in their Ken Block t-shirts, hardcore race guys who hate everything about "stance," hardparker stancebro hipsters (archenemies of the Ken Block stancebros), nerdy car guys who could name every piece on their car by part number, and the "regular people," who just sort of wander around, take pictures, and occasionally start up a conversation with members of the other groups. They're fun. I'd like to eventually get to some bigger shows. I'm not usually a fan of a lot of the people there, but most of the cars are cool.
