i got the starting kicking job this year, place kicks and kickoffs. my field goals are on point, no issues, but my kick offs need about 7 more yards. anyone got some tips? id like to be kicking consistant touchbacks this year but unless they let it bounce, im about 7 short:(

CUSTOMIZE YOUR SHOE TO MAKE IT MORE AERODYNAMIC SO YOUR FOOT WILL GO FASTER THEREFOR YOU WILL KICK HARDER AND THE BALL WILL GO 7 YARDS FURTHER.

my problem with my kicks was always the way i ran at the ball.

so check that out

plus leg strength can always be improved on

Do some flexibility training to increase it through the hip area. It'll give you a longer stroke, which will add some power. or just do steroids.

do you count 7 steps back and then 3 to the side? also our coach has some of our kickers tie the toe of their shoes back. so there is essentially a loop around the leg and the around the toe of the shoe pulling it up

i start 5 yards back and then 3 steps, 1 shoe length back and 3 to the left. i dont get the shoe tie thing

the shoe thing is stupid. ignore that. but do u stretch a lot? because that could also help. does your football team lift weights? cause if you do a squat work out and then stretch that could help

Go kick through a soccer ball a few hundred times. Work on your angle too. I was a soccer player and was picked up by the football team. Just practice practice, and strengthen your legs. I bet you do one week in the gym and you get 10 yards.

i am a soccer player, ive been in the weight room every other day for the past two weeks, i have 2 weeks until our first scrimmage so i dont have much time i just read some stuff about plant foot placement so im going to try that tomorrow.

Work on your angles. Lean back to kick higher or lean over the bal to kick straight. Although im sure you already know that. Im excited for football. I play running back and fullback. On all game baby.
