Any climbers on ns

i really enjoy climbing but most of my time is spent at the local rock wall. there is no decent climbing close to where i live.

I boulder occasionally at a local gym, and I would like to do that more often.

I also climbed some easier routes at the base of Devils Tower, and I would love to go back and climb to the top some time.

I just got back from climbing. I used to climb 100+ days per year, everywhere across North America. I have a particular love for Yosemite and Squamish, but the East Coast has some amazing rock as well. I mostly trad climb but go sport climbing on occasion.

Above rock though, I greatly prefer ice climbing. There's just something about tackling a proud ice climb. I also really enjoy mixed climbing. At this point I've climbed pretty much every "main" area in the US, and dozens upon dozens of smaller areas. As far as grades...I don't spray. I climb for me, for my personal enjoyment, to push myself, and to have fun in beautiful places with good friends. I have zero interest in projecting a 5.hard sport route for 60-90 tries to claim I have redpointed such and such a route.

Oh, and to the guy who said he climbed the Nose on El Cap free at 5.13...you're full of shit.

i normally do gym climbing and bouldering at NJ Rock Gym but I went to the Shawagunk Mountains in NY and climbed a 5.10+

I climb a decent amount but the routes around here are mostly shit.

but I usually climb Pictured Rocks, IA and have sent a few outdoor 5.10's (lead climbing, onsight).

Climber here! I've been climbing for about 2 years now i guess. started out pretty much only as a sport climber but now i climb pretty much only trad. when i lived back east i would climb at the new river gorge and at crags around virginia, maryland, and pennsylvania. now i live in montana and climb around here. some of the more notable places i've been to are the cirque of the towers and indian creek/moab.

it's not really spraying if someone asks what your hardest climb has been. hell, a hardest climb doesn't even have to be your hardest grade. it's not like you're telling someone in order to look better than them, people can just be interested. though i understand where you are coming from

if i told someone that i climbed a certain climb and then they replied with a "oh thats cool, but it's not as sweet as this climb i did" i would consider that spraying. so don't be shy man, we all climb for the enjoyment, and if you do it to be "badass" or something along those lines, then i just flat out think that person should rethink why they climb.

I've been climbin for bout' a month, mostly bouldering in the gym, and I can do up to about 600 on bouldering. I tell ya, climbing is epic shit, and it has me hooked!

In the gym I have top roped 5.12b's but leading I max out around 5.10 and outdoors leads 5.10-... Leading, especially on real rock, is so different from gym top rope routes as far as the mental aspect goes. I live in Southern NH and climb at Vertical Dreams and outdoors in Rumney NH.

I was just visiting a buddy in Lake Oswego and i checked that place out 2 different times. Such a chill little place, It makes me wish i had something similar where i live.

Started climbing more seriously a month and a half ago or so, I can do 5.9+ cleanly (Top rope) and lead 5.8s usually. as far as outdoor climbing I have no clue what the ratings of the routes I did were.

Try $200+ for a decent rope. Ropes are the one climbing thing I hate buying. Justropes.com has the best deals on ropes, and you can find a coupon if you search.
Going climbing in the morning! It's going to be too hot though.

Just started climbing this year. Mainly climbing back of the Lake in Lake Louise. Have climbed some stuff around Banff as well as spill machine near Golden. Did a 4 day trip to Stone Hill Montana as well and that was super fun.

Hoping to get out to Skaha for a trip this fall depending on what my work schedule looks like.

I've done a bit in Rumney NH. Ive done a few 5.10s there, but nothing higher. I go to a gym in Newburyport MA and boulder their

I'll be living in the dorms at University of Utah this fall, what's the closest gym or best way to learn to climb? I have no experience but want to start.
