So i saw a deal i couldn't resist today and know i have my dream setup of an iMac + thunderbolt cinema display. I'm super stoked but there are a couple things on it that im like wtf how could they leave that out. Maybe they didn't thou and thats why i made this thread.

So an example of a feature that I cant figure out is independent page scrolling. So when i go to go into full screen mode in an application on either of my screens both of the screens will slide to the left/or right so im wondering if there is a way to turn this off so i could open a full screen on 1 page and stay on the desktop/program that im using on the other.

If that didnt make sence hers a video showing how the screens are liked mirrored if i go to transfer pages:

Besides this problem the two screens has already increased my productivity in editing for example i can have two programs open to do live cuts/correction between apps/programs and also i can use the second monitor as a display for color correction and also to put the playback on 1 screen and timeline/tools/effects on the other so I have to say I am a huge fan of the two monitors but wish i could figure out the promblem listed b/c its really annoying and i use the full screen all the time!!!!

There's a bunch of other shit like that too. Like if you fullscreen a video your cursor suddenly disappears.

Exactly i have been using it alot and have noticed alot of small things that are kind of a pain... but i def. like 2 screens.

Have you found any way around them?

what programs are you wanting to run? photo/editing programs will sometimes have full screen interfaces

Thats not the problem (but adobe products) the problem is the way the 2 monitors mirror some actions such as scrolling through full screen apps so when i go to enter full screen, both monitors will slide but only 1 monitor will have the program on it... Kind of hard to explain the problem but mayb you can visualize it

Yeah some of the fullscreen stuff is bullshit but its mostly only youtube ive found that does it. I do a ton of other video watching in full screen on one side then do whaetever on the other screen. my friends always make fun of me because I have NS on one screen and fb on the other ha

ha, Yeah this is what i want to do but to do your monitors like tether to each other when you enter full screen or can you be on one page full screen and a different page on the other screen fullscreen.

Because on mine i can only be in full screen on 1 and the other will be blank

i mean, i only use full screen to watch videos, and NS/vimeo doesn't do the stupid mac full screen. Do you run fullscreen programs? If you do, why?

Oh i see what your talking about I can do vimeo/NS fullscreen.

I use full screen apps like iTunes, Safari, Mail, etc. and fullscreen is an advantage in those programs because the desktop always is open which means if i wanted to drag an .mp3 to my desktop i could just drag to the left and be on my desktop w/o minimizing anything which is usefull but i guess its not that big of a deal now that i have the 2 screens but i still cant believe that you cant do it...

shit happens cause when your using mountion lion/ lion it has certain applications that when full-sized only think you are using one screen, and i dont know how to fix it its annoying hopefully apple will come out with some kind of fix for this

Actually if you just take the URL from the embed code it'll fullscreen in your browser.
