Any Bitcoin nerds???

This thread is partially dead, but I just bought a 4 GPU open air crypto miner. Will post a pic if I remember

What can you even mine at this point with 4 GPUs? Haven't kept up with the mining scene since I turned off my asic.

Monero and other coins that don't cater to ASIC miners. I think you can mine Ethereum as well
 
I have heard Monero is moderately profitable. Idk how I feel about antminers but they’re not too expensive so makes it tempting to try. But Ethereum going PoS with 2.0 is gonna put a pretty significant hit on mining. I’ve been gung ho on putting solar on my roof to help mine cheaply but guess my wife isn’t as excited to save the world..
 
Litecoin halving is a couple days away. In the past at least with Bitcoin there has been huge upward price action after the halving. But we’ve already seen Litecoin move 6x off its year low, so perhaps already priced in.

to guy above—invest in Alts that seem promising. I got too alt heavy and am trying to keep 50% of my holdings in BTC/ETH/LTC. Because at some point a lot of alts will be cleansed from the market.
 
Rekt AF. But I’m about to have my truck paid off so no more auto loan payments, most of my car projects are done and paid off so I’m about to be able to put most of my paychecks into crypto. So I don’t mind the dip
 
A lot of rumors and chatter but no real catalysts coming that I see. I am not messing with cryptos until I see another catalyst coming. I dont like playing the technicals on it.

Natural Gas is where its at right now. All time lows recently and this hurricane is helping drive the price up artificially. Then you have the nature winter time spike. Making mad money short term and day trading UGAZ and DGAZ.

They are predictable if you watch the forecasts and general seasonal awareness. The only issue with them is the election year effect. They tend to dip where they usually peak before an election year. But, I have made tons of money trading UGAZ and DGAZ. Way less scary than cryptos in the current climate IMO.

Anyone have any news about potential catalysts on cryptos? I saw something about an XRP fork. That is what triggered the huge spike in BTC when I initially made this post.
 
Anyone have like $20 of btc in a hot wallet that I could buy? I want it for an experiment but don't want to pay the $5 withdrawal fee of most trading platforms
 
was just going through my old coinbase account. in 2013 i was buying $400 at a time for drugs. That $400 was buying me over a coin. I feel fucking stupid now. Now i'm all about the stocks.
 
Got in UGAZ at $12.55 sold in the $16.80s and back in $15.90s. Easy money.

BTC is peaking my interest again. Im looking for a good dip to get back in some.

Bitcoin has been on a roller-coaster over the last few years, but no one can contest its value. It's hard to predict where the Bitcoin, as well as the other cryptocurrencies, will net out so it's a hide-and-seek game. I've been in this game for a few years, and so far it's been a continuous growth.
 
Update: I have a GPU mining setup, I'm mining using Nicehash and getting about $4.50 in BTC per day, with an electricity cost of about $2.50 per day. Mining is actually profitable right now, and enough people are buying bitcoin that the price should stabilize at this higher price. People are rightfully doubting the USD after the government decided to hand it out willynilly

I am :) from around December to May-ish I was making $30-45/day, now it's back down to about $20/day. I did upgrade my setup a little bit since i posted that last comment--I bought 3 GPUs just before the GPU market meltdown

Now that China wont be taking as much of the mining market, you should be able to increase that even more in the near future.

Hopefully! EIP 1559 is also coming very soon for ETH....it will be interesting to see what happens
