Any bike mechanics help

so I just bought a flip flop wheel for my bike and put it on. Whenever I pedal there is a vibration, clicking, ticking that goes on. I imagine it has something to do with the chain and the cog. Any ideas on how to fix it?

i've never even heard of a "flip flop" wheel. can you be more specific? is the sound, when you petal, or when you coast? if it's when you coast, it's just the hub, which is normal.

I think he's talking about a wheel that can turn a fixie into a single speed or vice versa. OP I have no idea as to what the issue might be.

Flip Flop hub you can have a free wheel on one side and a fixed on the other, I rock one and love it.

Back to the OPs question. maybe check your chain alignment..

Yep, check your alignment, tension and make sure it still has life in it. I'm leaning towards tension though

im not exactly sure what your problem is, but, if its a mountain bike it may be that the rim is bent or out of allignment and the knobby tire is rubbing against the fork or right behind the crank.

ok, sounds to me like it's the bottom bracket then. mine needs replacing too. is it a clicking sound that you can literally feel when you hear it?

You can take your bearings out of your current bottom bracket and there should be a number to indicate what size it is. You can then use that number and buy new bearings instead of an entire bottom bracket. Just make sure you don't screw it up when you press them back in and get the sealed bearings
