Starting a new job at AVH in June and looking for a place to live. Would qualify for a APCHA housing. Clean and easy going. Love to ski, 420 friendly, and not a total stick in the mud. As far as location goes the closer the hospital the better but am looking into Basalt as well. Welcoming any offers or advice for finding a place so I don't have to squat on my friends couch.

Stay on the APCHA list. That’s probably one of the best options out there in the town of Aspen.
I’d also post an need housing ad on the hospitals employee pages/mass email since you have some time.
Another option for summer time could be club commons. It’s Aspen ski co housing but in the summer they rent it out to anyone. I’ve spent winters there it’s definitely the cheapest short term housing in the Aspen area. It’s shared apartments but it’s housing. I’d probably still be there if I didn’t grow old and lame.
Could give some time while waiting for something to better to open up. Could also get your foot in the door at Snowmass affordable housing. I believe you still have to of lived in SM for 6months (might be more now) before you can apply.
It seems more and more people are living in Basalt. Honestly I wouldn’t want to live farther than for a commute on a bus.
I hear basalt is getting built up like crazy.
I’d do Glenwood springs for summer if I’d have a car. The drive is not bad if the road is open and you drive outside of busy hours.
When winter rolls around I’d live in Aspen area or snowmass because fuck hour long bus rides from Basalt.
I’d do rifle if I bought my self a house there.
