Hey guys, ive been skiing for a while now and im looking for somthing else to do in the summer that will help me improve my rail game and i guess bladeing helps so does anyone have any advice here?
Used to ride inline, i don't think it really helps that much, they're really not that similar but i guess it helps train your balance somewhat. Oh and i've noticed that it changes your style quite a bit (tho i guess it varies from person to person), you can just tell from the skiing if the skier rides inline (usually).
I used to blade a decent amount. haven't in years, but it definitely helps you maintain balance and hand-foot coordination during the off season. I'd suggest it if it interests you.
searchbar, theres a ton of threads on blading; videos, skate suggestions, ect. I'm just too lazy right now to find some links.
Im high and after re-reading this I realize it makes no sense. just go with it.
also, before this turns into a skateboard vs inline thread, either will leave you with a better sense of balance and foot coordination. Inline just happens to have an easier learning curve.
Yep. Skating is fun, it might help your landings cause you've got like a foot to land on instead of a ski. It's fun without trying to be skiing though so don't limit yourself to ski tricks.
There is a massive thread on here about it, and it helps with skiing a bit. Like others have said though, don't limit yourself to skiing tricks, learn the soul grinds too. Blading is an awesome way to spend the summer and at least where I'm from, all the bladers in the area are friends.
I've blading for a while now and honestly it wrecked my rail game for skiing because I was constantly looking for that lock on but that obviously doesn't happen on skis so I come off of rails early every god damn time now
