Anthems vs. AR6's

Which one is better for a mostly park ski (mainly tech on rails, not jumps, and nothing too big) that will do some all-mountain?

well the ar6's will probably last you a bit longer then the anthems. i'd say it depends on how many seasons you are trying to get out of your next pair of skis and how hard you ride them.

i would say anthems. just because you dont plan on much all mtn at all. the AR6s are more for like 60% park while the anthems are like 90% park..

anthem i much softer. but form talking to people that have them, the butterzones are noticeable for sure.

anthems are a sick park ski. soft and get width for bigger jumps. The width also helps for some all around ridding

no its just different...IMO i dont really like it but ik alot of people that prefer wider skis for rails

on another note i think you would do better with the ar6s, they have a better all mountain flex and they are an all around bomber ski

anthems are really fun, butter zones are sick and deffiantely noticable. But if you hit rails hard they will fall apart after a season, if your are competent at rails enough to never cross skis are just beat them, go for the anthems. i haven't ridden ar6's.

Some questions about flex:

are ar6s still pretty buttery/soft? like im skiin on 07 head mojo 80's and their pretty stiff... for anyone who knows these skis, can you make a comparison?

and how stiff are 4frnt tnks compared to all these?

ar6s are fairly stiff/solid especially because they are geared towards all mountain, like the line blend. When compared to the anthems, ar6s are stiff. Durability wise, most will say ar6s will last you longer, but i dont have long term experience with them so i couldnt say. however, anthems are the best rail ski in the world in my opinion because of the fatty base and edge; its not just a marketing ploy. My edges and bases are still is great condition after one season. the topsheet complaints are true unfortunatley, they are pretty soft and i have some big chunks out of mine. But when it comes down to price and what i want in a ski, anthems are the obvious winner for me...

ok and I'm only 110lbs too so ar6's might seem even stiffer to me... anthems can handle all mountain well too right? their durability scares me a little bit though....

ya anthems slay all mountain. the durability is not that bad unless you are prone to trash skis, dont not buy them because you are worried about it. not sure about your other question...

I was looking at other armadas and I came across t-halls. would these fit what I'm doing at all? it looks like their softer than the ar6, which I like...

also, ar6 is still better at all mountain then anthems right? even though anthems are fatter...

t-halls are a softer ar6, so if thats what you want then there you go. As far as all mountain capability goes in a battle between ar6 and anthems, i would say anthems are the most versatile, but i am also very biased because thats what i ride. oh and the reason i say that is because there is only one place to mount them, versus mouting a traditional ski in different areas based on what you ski...

they arent as bad as most people think they are. they are just a bit softer than the AR6, so if youre gonna be doing 70% park or more, id say get t-halls

So are ar6's too stiff for my weight? I would like a somewhat playful ski that I can butter... I'm also going to be getting the kinda long (like 171) so would that make a difference?
