Anthems or Afterbangs

Which is an overall better freestyle ski, im moving to colorado, and i want a ski that can take hard landings from big kickers, good on rails, and can shred pipe, and also can run the trails when i need a break from the park...i like both skis, but for next season i need to make a decesion, so if any line experts want to help me out, i would appreciate it..

neither of those skis will suit you. You would love the anthems, they are stable on jumps but not too stabel, from what i hear abut the afterbangs, they will not be great fog big jumps at ALL. Neither ski will work in the pipe all that great. You just described the chronic perfectly. get them, everyone i know who has them loves them

ight bro..thanks alot, i looked at the chronics, but all my friends said afterbangs, i think thats what they wanted, so they told me to get them

ya i think they even say while explaining the afterbang it isnt a jump ski, the chronic stomps all

this may b a dumb question...but when it comes to rails and boxes the chronics stomp those to, like urban kink, and urban hand rails right

my friend has them, and he said that they were perfect for rails.theres nothing that would make the ski necesarily "bad" on rails and boxes, so they should be fine on them.

alright tight, thanks alot, i like freestyle in the backcountry to...obsethed are good skis right..? im movin to colorado, and im gettin pow skis as a graduation present so im making sure i get all the right gear for my move out west

skied the afterbangs last night and have em for the weekend to demo.

the best rail/urban ski ive skied. jump decent too. wont really know till schweitzer tomorrow though.

if i were anyone that was undecided on skis, afterbangs fo sure.

word. butter on bread.

^ yeah i had anthems last year, i got em a tad small at a161 and grew and now ski a 176 ar6.

the anthem was a good ski no doubt but, afterbangs kill em. anthems were lighter, have decent pop, about the same as the afterbangs on jumps, but the bangs pop like no other. afterbangs might seem heavy now because of the jester demo binding weighing them down. idk it's a tough call for sure two good skis but, id go afterbangs for sure, and from what ive been told they're bomb proof durability wise. the anthem is also wider then the afterbang so the lock on rails is dope no doubt.

still try'n them though to be confident but word for sure they kill it.

also hear the cronic is a good jump ski but havent skied it.

post a thread on the cronic, possibly to get some more answers.

i hear the obsethed is more of an east coast pow ski, but it could work out west. I dont know to much about the pow skis, or how much you will be skiing. But i do know this years actually has a rocker, but i dont know how much. Might be to big, but maybe armada jj's, salomon czar, or check out the new alpha 2's.

Colorado has some awesome park man, so you might want to broaden your choices and look around. You should have a good park ski and a good big mountain/pow ski. You could look at rocker but you really don't need it unless you live down south.

well i mean, im moving to colorado, and for big mtn and pow im lookin at the armada jjs and the k2 obsethed..and park skis im open to all suggestions, but the chronics tnks and afterbangs r what im looking at

No i havnt. thats why i said "from what i hear" and im pretty sure they said in the video about them this is not a jump ski

tried on some afterbangs today... im probably getting them... but from what they felt like they are REALLY soft and buttery.

chronics will stomp everything...if ur looking for a pow/park ski mabey the line blends bc they seem to suit ur choices

If yur not doin to many rails check out the pipe cleaners...... amazing on jumps and in the pipe. Super fast, dont have to hike up as for to hit jumps haha. Its a lazy mans ski.

word on the street tells of the alpha 2 having the flex of the ar6 and the build of the alpha.

the alpha 2 has the race base as the pipe cleaner.

word.
