Anthems for tall but light weight?

I'm thinking about getting anthems but not sure if they are going to serve well all-mountain. I'm 6ft 3 but pretty light at around 150lbs. I've skied the chronic blend before but found them way too stiff and want something a bit more playful. Any advice?

They'll be better all mountain than say a-bangs or invaders, but it's still a soft park ski. Really fun to ride but "fun" doesn't always translate to all-mountain performance. If you thought the chronic was too stiff, then you'll probably like the flex of the anthems.

178 anthems would be good for you. you will definetly like the anthems flex compared to chronics. definetly playful and fun as stated above^ i would say go for the anthems there a great all around ski.

which chronic blend did u ski? the 08/09 one is muchhhh softer than previous years, much more similar to the chronic than the prophets.

that being said, im 6'5 and 200 pounds, and loved my anthems all mountain (however, they are rockered now from buttering them constantly) they were fun, playful, suuuuper buttery and just fun to dick around on. did they hold on ice or really rip when i left them wide open? oh god no.

if you like to use the whole mountain to play, then yea, of course theyll work for you, just remember fis downhill ski they are not.

You should probably define your version of "All Mountain". All mountain to me means I want a plank that can haul ass without giving, but if you think Chronics are stiff and that Anthems would be good all mountain then we have very different ideas of what that means. Anthems are noodles.

This is my problem. Some people seem to think anthems can handle ok for groomers and in soft snow. But others seem to say they are too noodley. Basically I'm after a ski that can handle pow and can carve well but isn't too stiff for the park. I previously had the chronic blend 06/07 but just found them a little too stiff for park.

I'm in the same boat as you man. I'm 6'4 and trying to find the same shit. Everyone tells me Kung Fujas. Still have the anthems in mind though.

if you want a ski that handles pow and park. then your not gonna get the perfect pow ski but kung fujas were a little rockered so that is good for pow. anthems arent bad in pow because such a wide underfoot. so if i were you i would choosee which i would rather ski in the park and and eiter or will do pretty good in pow.

or just get a pow ski ha.

Seems to be a lot of good things said about the Kung Fujas and they would be a better length at 189cm but they are quite pricey. But maybe it will be worth paying the extra money. I like the idea of the adjustable binding on the 2010 model. Anyone know anything about this?
