Anthems and invaders

im lookin to buy some of last years skis for urban and i was wondering which is a bigger difference between the anthems and invaders: the difference in width or the difference in flex???
 
dude no doubt that invaders would be your best jib ski option.
soft,agile,quick, flexible and most off all tough
anthems are more of a jump ski and are fairly fat
 
you probably dont want to buy new skis just for urban. but if you must, theyre both pretty poppy, the anthem is 93mm underfoot compared to the invader which is 83mm (i think)
 
Based on your original post, no one can possibly recommend you any ski.

Height? Weight? Age? Skill level? Past urban skis? Urban experience?

Answer these. No one should recommend you a ski without knowing stuff like this. For all we know you weigh 265 and play football and will snap your Invaders on the first hit.

Both the Invaders and the Anthems are soft - damn soft. Neither is a jump ski, although yes, the added width in the Anthem gives it a little more stiffness and helps it hold up on bigger hits. Both are jib skis.

Anyways, post this info if you want an accurate recommendation. Imagine walking into a shop and the employees not being able to size you up. If they can't tell you're a big guy, what's stopping them from putting you on a tiny ski. If the can't tell that you're tiny, what's stopping them from putting you on a burly ass ski. It's common sense and it applies here too.
 
Im skiing the invaders, they are so sick. Light and so nice for urban and park. Go for invaders they are sick
 
They are basically the same ski, just the anthem is 1 cm wider. Not too much of a difference but for urban I would say that the invaders would probably be quicker.

Invader Dimensions: 110 / 83 / 110mm

Line doesn't make the Invader anymore, fyi. It was replaced by the Afterbang. You can still find last year's on backcountry, though.
 
quick math lesson 10mm=1cm. thus the waist is 1 cm wider while the tip and tail are both .9 cm wider. id say go with anthems cuz theyre gonna be more versatile. i picled up a pair for cheap this spring($210) but now the sales are over and it may be hard to find the size you need for cheap
