Another what ski thread.... Sorry

Hey NS!

Sorry to have to do this, I know sooooo many of these kind of threads are around but I really need some help. I live in AUS and am getting new skis for the upcoming season. I have done heaps of research and my list was between reno jibs, ar7's, Thalls and Walls. I had pretty much made up my mind on getting a pair of moment reno jibs in a 176, I was looking for a durable poppy playful ski that could still hold up on 40 - 50 foot jumps (but not 2x4's). I was about to buy the renos when I found a deal that I could get a pair of new 2011 rossi s4 jibs with fks 14's for $500.

The problem is that my last skis were 06/07 rossi scraches, and although I loved them, I was looking at trying something different, something abit softer in the tip and tails. But with bindings and shipping the jibs will probably be ~$700.

Just wanting to know your opinions. Do you think the s4 will be playful enough on the jibs and rails? Is the s4 simply just too stiff to butter, mess around on? should I get a more playful ski? or should I stop being a pussy and just buy the s4's?

Sorry for the long and possibly pointless thread (btw im 5'8", 155lbs, advanced skier, 50% jumps 50% rails)

much love

S4 will be great, cant go wrong whit them. I havent ski them, but i had some ghetto and they were very good.

cheers mate!

I would try and demo some or even get my hands on the skis I am interested in to see the flex but there are no ski shops around so all my shopping is done online... and I have to do my research here lol

Well man, according to the member J.5 he said that they are pretty stiff, but he's like 130 lbs.Their the best skis ever, so much fun, ridiculously stable, really poppy, light weight, ridiculously durable (i've skied mine for just under 15 days and they show no sign of use other than cosmetic damage), top sheets barely chip. Thats what he write in another thread. Pm him he really like those ski i think.

inb4 J.5.

you can in fact butter the s4 however you have to not be a pussy. the ski is great on rails and the narrow waist makes it super playful on them.
