Another park ski question

No one replied my question on another thread so I'll just make this...

I just got new chronics. On

my 4th run with those skis I overshot 540 a little (didn't even land on

my tips) and my ski snapped. Since that ski is broken now, I need new

pair of skis. I did like how the chronics skied but I don't want another

pair of those for obvious reasons. :/

I'm 5'7, ~130 lbs and want the

ski to be soft yet stable on bigger jumps. Something similar to chronics

but maybe softer as long as it still can handle landings of those

bigger airs too. My chronics were 178s if that info is needed :D

looking at the atomic infamous. Any thoughts? Any other suggestions? Nothing too expensive though.
 
I'm about to order infamous. Not sure yet if 171 or 176. I want to be able to throw them around and butter easily but also take them to 30-60 feet jumps. Opinions from those who has skied them? Do they run short or long?
 
I couldnt get the chronics bend too easily. Were they too long or is it just that they are stiff? How do they compare to infamous?
 
Hopefully you will waranty the chronics as they had been brand new. The infamous is a little softer that the chronics, but the chronics aren't a stiff ski at all.
 
Should I then go with the 171? I was leaning towards 176 for better stability but idk. Also started looking at volkls skis. Any comparisons?
 
do this and then sell them so you can fund getting a different pair of skis.

Volkl is on the stiffer side of things. If you are going to go volkl I would check out the step. Its a ledge that is stiffer with carbon stringers.
 
The Infamous would be a good ski, I would go with a 176. Volkls would be stiffer than them.

Also consider, K2, the recoils is very similar to the chronic and probably more durable.
 
Yea, thanks. I think I'll go with 176 infamous. You dont think I will have problems for example buttering with these? And how does the lenght compare to 178 chronics?
 
Well my old 169 k2s are 2 cm shorter than 178 chronics. Just wondering if they are shorter/true/longer to what they are said to be
 
false. I haven't held them next to each other but the chronic measures pretty short. I think the '178' is actually around 174-5 and the infamous are closer to true to size. They going to be near identical length, chronic might even be a tiny bit shorter.
 
Ive always found that line skis are very flimsy its not there flex its the quality in them. I think Atomic Infamous' sounds GREAT!
