Another "hey i got a new tattoo, tell me what you think" thread

theres a really really long story behind it so i'll just spark note it.

basically, my biological father was addicting to mass drugs and was in the whole so-cal punk scene, was in and out of prison and rehab for about 15 years. the last time he was in jail, he had a spiritual intervention was "saved" by religion. i don't care what you believe in, religion saved his life.. he's been clean for years and is the biggest hero for getting out of the hole he was in. he's in a Cristian punk band called Call to Glory that just got signed, has a tv show called "The Uprising" and has a wife and two beautiful children. this tattoo is for him, and the inspiration he's passed along to me.

the cross symbolizes the obvious: religion

the spikes on the cross symbolize his (and my) life is rough around the edges

"carry me home" symbolizes his peace within himself after he found religion. (also from a social distortion song)

normally i'm not a huge tattoo fan, but i'd say that one looks great and has a real significant meaning behind it.

But is it me or does the tattoo look kinda crooked? It looks like its leaning to the left.
 
nice tattoo man, I usually don't even like tattoos. Its got good meaning behind it, just like my friend who has a similar one of a winged cross with his grandmother's name. Meant to symbolize how she always lifted everyone around her up, and now she is the one to ascend to heaven.
 
I def appreove its nice to see a tat with meaning past the flames initials skulls buterflies etc.... mad props
 
real nice man, it looks dope. i cant wait till i turn18. the second i do i am going ot geta dope tattoo. I am going to get a soccer ball on my arm, and have half the german flag and the other the polish flag. the soccerball represents my life, and all that i love and the flags for my heritage.
 
Sick and i'm glad it means something, but for the hurting thing my tattoo is in almost that exact spot and the most painful parts for more where up closer to my neck and along my spine where there are more nerves
 
no offense, but that is a super dumb tattoo. But it matters more if you like it than me. I personally hate most tattoos.

as far as the tattoo goes i think it looks fucking corny

you could probably use it to get some dumb slewy to suck your dick though
 
It's really not necessary to say that "out loud"... He'll have that for the rest of his life, and doesn't need stupid comments like that about it.
 
dude i think its def a sick tat, it makes it that much better that it means something to you and has a story behind it, i know so many guys with art that dont mean a damn thing

at long last, someone gets a tattoo that has true meaning and symbolism that is important to them. good looks homie
 
i have one on my back as well, the vibrations on my spine made my hands and feet tingle and fall asleep.

that is a sick tattoo, how long did it take?
