Another Full Tilt Thread

I was just browsing NS and saw all the threads about Full Tilt merging with K2... I thought to myself, what happens to all the pros who were using Full Tilt boots, will they wear K2 boots in the future or something else?

For example, if someone is to ski for Armada, but had Full Tilt as a boot sponsor. Would they wear Armada skis with K2 boots?

I just think would be kind of weird to see two "rival" companies sponsoring the same athlete. I mean sure K2 has owned Full Tilt for quite a while now but I think it was to be treated as its own brand.

I'd like to hear what you guys think :)

My guess is either the whole team gets dropped, they keep anyone who’s willing to ride for k2 or we see k2 boots on armada skis

bruh imagine if the b&e boot is no more

Can't imagine either of those guys with a different boot sponsor tbh

Or they could just buy them.

I’m sure the direct deposit from another sponsor will work more or less the same.

true, but I can't really think of a boot company that fits the vibe of either of those riders.

Atomic and Salomon are owned by the same company as Armada, but I don't know if they'd want to be riding anything so plain.

If they went to Salomon though it would be funny to see kids' reactions

They'll ride for who pays.

I guess.

Come to think of it, FT probably wanted them on their team because they are the mascots of modern freestyle skiing.

But times have changed and they're the veterans now.

I hope they cook up some cool shit with their next sponsor whether or not it's K2 or someone else

Think less. Most kids will ride for whomever is going to pay the most. They are pro athletes. They are paid to use the gear.

when you talk of fit it is more trying to match the marketing goals of each party.

Full stack, the company that owns faction, is coming out with new boots next year. I wouldn't be surprised if it was maybe something to compete with the hole left by full tilts absence.

From what I understand yeah, I tried to talk to the faction people at work during our session with them earlier this month but they didn't answer any questions about it. Super excited to see what is to come!

Full Tilt hasn't left. Just a different name. Same boots.

Bernie Roscow has been putting up some sick early season IG content from Mammoth repping the Roxa's. He seems to dig them. I find them to be very similar if fit and performance to FT. Very responsive for such a light boot

I believe Torin Yater Wallace has been rocking K2 as a boot sponsor for years now...

Also Armada doesn't even make boots, and even if they did that wouldn't be a problem, it just depends what their contract with the athlete is, if it's just a skis contract they don't have anything to say, tons of Armada (skis) athletes don't ride with Armada bindings or outerwear...

yh been following bernie for a little while as well, good content and fun to see him in the cat up mammoth. Thibault Magnin is also sponsored but usually rides their element 120s

maybe some kids will understand now that it might be better to go see a bootfitter instead of buying full tilts
