Annoyed with Youtube Ads Thread

It’s rare that an ad actually interests me. Usually I’m just nothing else but annoyed since I’m just trying to get to my video. So, and really just because i can and wanted to, I built a site that takes out that annoyance:https://www.evoke.fm. Not really looking to make any money with it, but wanted to share it because I thought you might enjoy the youtube/soundcloud search feature. I promise you’ll at least get to watch endless music/music videos and/or ski/mountain bike/surf clips with no annoying ads up front, save and share them to your profiles and with your friends. Still annoyed or looking for something else? Any feature recommendations? Let me know what you think! BTW, I had a thread up a couple years ago under “A Spam Not Post” that was about the start of this project, a music-mood kind of Songza-like site. Just wanted to say thanks for the feedback then. It didn’t really pan out, but this is what I’ve turned the project into. Hope you enjoy!
 
um, dude? Did you just step out of a time machine from the past or wake up from a coma? Adblock solved this problem loooong ago. If you aren't smart enough to know what adblock is, and to be using it, then your program/site/whatever likely sucks. I didn't both looking at your link because I already use adblock and it handles that shit for me.

Yeah adblock is sweet.. There are a few other services too. uBlock Origin etc..

With this you can create playlists from both soundcloud and youtube content, very quickly and easily share music and video with friends through a feed, access curated playlists, new music, and trending music, read more wikipedia info on the artist/content creator/song/video without having to do a separate search, save favorites to come back to them later on, etc. Also, each time someone creates a playlist I'm automatically sorting each piece of music/video by the playlist name and genre so that a sort-of crowd-sourced Songza can be created later on - at least that's the experiment as it stands now. Was thinking of doing a reddit-like up vote on those crowdsourced playlists too. But yeah get your point. Thoughts?
 
it doesnt really bother me if its on a youtube channel that i regularly enjoy watching. its how people get payed to keep making the content that they make.
 
I think Vimeo is better for hosting and watching edits and such, but most adds give you a few seconds before you can skip it
