I screwed up an ankle when I was 11 wakeboarding and because of that accident i can't throw down. I have sick switch landings and can slide rails perfectly but i can't jump onto rails urban style cuz of my ankle and i also cant slide left foot forward meaning i cant do switchups. i also have prblems spinning cuz of it and can only spin slowly. it looks sick but i cant do much more than a 540. I ve already tried to get help via phys therapy and cant do anything about it. what do i do?

What? Ski boots are essentially casts for your ankles. My ankles are so incredibly fucked up that I can't skateboard anymore, but I've never had even the slightest problem with skiing. What did you do?

might be too late... but calazone* (a type of steriod) shot(s)? i got one when i retore a ligament in my ankle last july and told the doc i was going commerical fishin in two days no matter what, and it was amazing how fast i was able to do most things, still couldnt mountain bike or longboard for a while, but nothign compared to the first time i tore ligaments in my ankle (weeks on crutches and then longer to do stuff...)

but i agree ankles suck, and i had to do some PT as well. my ankle sulpinate really badly so lots of shitty side effects. good luck man

your boots should take care of it unless the ripped tendon from your tibia causes trouble in your knee too. Try getting some knee braces for support, wouldn't hurt to try, and crank your boots on when you ski and loosen them in line so you don't cut circulation forever

yeh same here. i pretty much tore my foot off getting it trapped between a double handrail, tore a bunch of ligaments and broke my ankle.. I can't skate properly anymore, can't really flick my ankle right for flip tricks and i get sprains so easily, but it doesn't bother me skiing at all :S.. where does it hurt when you are popping or whenever it hurts?

yah, i actually skied my demos for ski-intructor with a broken ankle :D
but an ankle is very complex, lots of small bones in there, i don't think you can easily compare one ankle injury with another one....
