Ankle swelling and bruising

My right ankle swelled up after skiing last week. I took some spills that day tryin to send er and the only spill that comes to mind where my ankle was put in an awkward position was clipping a tree at the top of a cliff and having my right ski pop off. My boots are old as hell and beat to shite which is where I think the swelling actually came from. After some online research the only thing my ankle description fits is swelling of the Peroneal tendons which is caused by having boots buckled too tight. I didn’t really think that was possible because I’ve always cranked em down as tight as can do. Does anyone have experience with ankle problems?

Don’t ask stoned teens for medical advice. If rest/ice/elevation/ibuprofen don’t solve your problem you should see a doctor to find out what got damaged and how bad.

take a few days off from skiing and let your injury heal. If it persists see a doctor or orthopedic / physical therapist.

Yeah it really isn’t getting better, had an appointment with my doctor for Wednesday so I’ll talk to her about it then. It sucks because I’ve been nursing it this week and we got 13” overnight. Oh well thanks for the input.
