Uh, he has every right to tell them to stop skateboarding in that courtyard. If they continue to do so, he has every right to tell them to vacate the premises. If they still continue, he has every right to call the police to force them to vacate the premises.

And those kids were being little jerks. I can see why he would want them to leave.
 
I'm sure those kids were being total dicks to the dude, so they got exactly what they deserved and he definitely had the right to ask them to remove themslves from the property. The insults were great though, haha.

yup siding with the church on this one, those kids were little shits, they were baiting the man to lash out. i found it funny when the baddass little kid said 'stop being racist you fucking faggot'. hahaha. if you look around youtube the trend becomes more obvious...kids baiting folks with the intentions of capturing it and putting on youtube... pretty sill if you ask me.
 
Dude, I grew up on a playground where if you didn't hold your tongue you could get the shit kicked out of you, or if you talked back to a "grownup" you got a brain duster over the head...these kids don't see that anymore so they say what they want when they want...crazy, hopefully it works out for them in the future...

if someone comes onto your property and you didn't invite them there (such as breaking into a house, etc.) you can pretty much do whatever you want to them. not sure if it applies to a church and priest though.
however, i think he does have the right to hit them. those kids sucked real hard. that's why the public has such a negative image of skateboarders.
i'd also bet those kids wouldn't act so badass if there wasn't a huge group of them
 
Ahah maybe in some states, but thats a huge misconception of the law. for example, in canada you have the right to use equal force, or detain the person on your property. so you cant just put the barrel of a shotgun in some burgulars mouth and squeeze because he's breaking into your house. i know in texas its legal to use deadly force to protect your property, but not everywhere. i have no idea what its like in australia or NZ but i sort of doubt you can legally beat the shit out of asshole kids, just because their on your property without an invite. and honestly, if that guy started beating a kid, he'd be on the ground in like 60 seconds, all those kids would rush him so fast. so yeah, it would be funny if he tried, but it wouldnt be a realistically smart idea.

I used to think that videos like this were funny, until I started realizing that in most cases it was just all of the kids being complete douchebags. If they would have just left when the man told them to, instead of ganging up on him there would have been no problems. Kids have no respect anymore.
 
These just cause more and more problems for skaters. Ever wonder why skating is illegal in certain areas? Look no further than these types of videos. For some reason a lot of young skaters think they have the right to skate anywhere, disobey anyone, and just say whatever they want. I feel bad for the real skaters out there who get screwed over by the impression these types of kids leave. I'm not a skater myself, but i know damn well from skiing that if you're doing an urban rail or something, and people ask you to leave, generally you should be respectful.

i hope thos kids feel fucking tough, there were at least 10 of them and one of him. What happens if they fall on his property and trying sueing him, then what? (if its anything like america) The priest gives his life to the church by choice, those douche bags deserve a good beating
 
You're going the wrong direction with this man...It's not about whether you believe or not, It's about respecting other people's beliefs, culture, and property...you wouldn't go over to you best friends house and start grinding their handrail, and then when his dad walks out and asks you nicely to stop start calling him a dbag or start saying things like those kids did...those kids only said those things because they thought it was cool...but in reality they don't know what respect is...
 
other than the obvious relgious implications the cathedral holds, many people are there for peace, quiet, and some solitude. They should at least respect that, those kids were complete arrogant little shits.

Except the old dude was really immature about it. He just called them cunts and stuff and made racist slurs towards the asian kid. Sure the kids were extreme douchebags (most of them were, but I heard at least one say "don't worry, we're going"), but that doesn't mean that the old guy needed to blow up at them like he did. He could have mentioned why he didn't want them there instead of just insulting them. Just as the kids gave a bad name to skateboarding that man gave a bad name to Catholics.
 
I agree that those kids were being douchebags to the guy and definitly should have gotten off of his property but he certainly had no right to hit them. He should have just called the cops and stayed away from the skaters until the cops arrived.
