Regarding freeskiing in the 2014 Winter Olympic games

If you get Johnny Moseley to announce freeskiing events, and he calls every single off axis spin a "cork" whether it actually is a bio, misty, rodeo, or flatspin etc. I will stab Bob Costas in the face.

im assuming that since youve made this thread you know nothing about snowboarding and havent watched any of the olympic snowboard competitions. because if you had you would know there is no hope for skiing. if they havent been able to figure out snowboarding by now theres no way theyre going to know whats going on in skiing.

i would think ctv already have mike lined up, but seeing how badly nbc handled the summer olympics i doubt it will be great coverage, but really who cares it will be cool to see freeski events at prime time on tv

CBC won the bid for the next Winter and Summer Olympics. Really sucks because I loved CTV's coverage of Vancouver 2010, they did an amazing job and portrayed the "Olympic Spirit" really well. Hopefully CBC will do a good job with the next few years, I'll be pissed if it really falls off, the Olympics are awesome and we only get to see them every 2 years, its a long wait if they screw it up.

^ i d did not relise that. CTV's coverage and NBC's, what little I watched of it wasok but it was the only coverage I had seen other then the BBC's. Really if CBC mess it up, just stream the BBC's, so so much better genrally.

are you serious? CTV did terrible coverage of these past games and of 2010. CBC is a million times better at covering large sports events. whaddya mean "hopefully CBC will do a good job", they've only covered every single televised Olympics with exception of 2010 and 2012. They know their shit. CBC does not mess around. CTV, however, was shit. and the only good commentator they had works for the CBC. go figure.
